Great game from late last year.
I second this! Enslaved was gorgeous. I thought the gameplay could have used a few tweaks, but the art style kept me enthralled the whole way through.

Team Fortress 2. I'll never get tired of looking at the colorful cartoon-ish graphics.

Any and every Cave bullet hell shmup going. Personal favourite on the colour front would be Mushihime-sama Futari.

Psychonauts. Most awesome and colourful game ever.

This. Aything by Tim Shafer, really, Brütal Legend looked beutiful and Stacked has a great art style! Costume quest had great animation and I also have high hopes for Trenched, it looks good!

Everything Naughty Dog has made since Crash Bandicoot.
Everything Insomniac Games has made except Resistance (but I still love it anyway).

Destroy All Humans! 2. Being set in the swinging sixties, lots of colour is basically the art theme of almost the whole game.

Hmmm...tough choice...see usually when I get bored of todays games (not saying I don't like em, it's just there's a limit and all) I tend to play older games from the NES, SNES and Genesis glory days and they're pretty colourful (not to mention N64). However I have to say Pokemon is a welcome break, play that on the bus into town, buy a brown fps and play pokemon on the bus back and I also have it by my bed to play like reading a book.

Option B would probably be Okami...just to remind me they're such things as stunning variety in graphics...

Bioshock. Do I even need to qualify this one? While it's certainly showing its age, the visual design in that game remains among the best the industry has ever seen. The sequel, despite being inferior, was awfully pretty as well.

Also, Mirror's Edge. Warms colours coupled with sterile whites. In spite its flaws it's still one of those rare games where you can look at virtually any screenshot and instantly recognize it. Even if that screenshot is of an empty room with no landmarks.

Beyond Good and Evil. Still holds a little corner of my heart all to itself. The visuals and aesthetic played a not insignificant part in securing said corner. Now make that sequel you DRM-mongering bastards!

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Heartbreakingly gorgeous. To quote someone else, "It's nice to see a game that doesn't assume that the decline of humanity means the end of the world."

Those are just off the top of my head. There are others out there.

...

PS. This whole thread reads like a visual head-butt to the nose of anyone who says games aren't art. Seriously, fuck those people.

PPS. You damn kids better be grateful. Those spoilers and screenshots took me bloody ages.

Just Cause is good, Cyris/Far Cry have to get a mention aswell. I would say either Brutal Legend or Banjo Kazooie - Nuts and Bolts.

I love the look of Zelda: Wind Waker. I'd put a screen shot up but I don't know how to do that "spoiler" thing.

No one has mentioned the 2008 Prince of Persia? What has the world come to?! Never mind! Quick, look at these screenshots!

Call of Juarez has a lot of great colurful scenes

Surely you are joking.

That's an extremely brown screenshot from an extremely brown FPS. Not quite Fallout 3 brown, but well on the way.

Viva Pinata, Borderlands, Sonic Colours, Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, A Boy and his Blob, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, De Blob, New Super Mario Bros Wii.

I could go on and on but I guess i'm just not into shooters so I don't really have a problem with brown games because I don't subject myself to them.

I don't even want to mention retro games because the list wouldn't end.

Btw just as a fun fact, I brought my 360 because I absolutely had to play Viva Pinata. I got it at the same time as I got my first Samsung HDTV and all I can say is that I was taken away by the sheer amount of colour that game offered.
