Was anyone else touched by the ending to MGS4? I never thought that i'd grow so attached to video game characters but it moved me to the point of tears...but in a good way. Anyone else(obviously whom has played it) feel the same? Or what was your reaction?

It's going to be interesting to see how MGS5 turns out, considering that Hideo isn't going to be the one directing it. Supposedly, new storyline and characters entirely.

Just MGS4? I was touched by the ending of every MGS game (with the exception of 2). MGS1, 3, Portable Ops... And yes, to tears.

I was only partially touched, and I consider myself to be a huge fan. Much of it left me bitter and feeling empty.
I mean, I loved the endings to all the previous games. Loved MGS2, nearly cried at the end of 3, same with Portable Ops. But MGS4, I was just sitting there, thinking "WTF".

The one that embracers the ideal of the story itself being merely an experiemnt on Raiden, and hence the players, openess to suggestion and command from the voice of Authority.

I actually turned off my PS2 when the Colonel told me to.
