People not liking Zelda games?! Blasphemy! Bring out the guillotine...this tort against good taste will not go unpunished.

Seriously though, even fanboys can prolly think of reasons why Zelda games aren't all that great. True, "cuz you're playing an elf" isn't a convincing reason to dislike them though.

I have friends who have played and beaten every Final Fantasy game ever made... that's just sad.

What's so sad about that? I assume you've completed quite a few games as well.

It's Final Fantasy. They're 30 hour long films and the input from the player can be boiled down to "Keep hitting Auto-Attack until the victory music plays, then run forward, rinse repeat."

The story is very un-interactive, and gameplay is boring, and the whole "RPG" bit isn't even really RPG.

That's pretty much the latest one.

From what I've played they were fun games, maybe not RPGs in the western sense of the word but still fun nonetheless.

Well there you go, you're right, FPS's are pretty horrible... except Painkiller.

And don't treat opinions that disagree with you as total horseshit, but you learn a lot about the games industry and what doesn't work when you spend 8 hours a day for the last six months making one.

I'm saying that it's total horseshit to generalise a series or a genre into one derogatory statement. There's no inherently bad game, each has good parts and flaws, though some may have more flaws than others. If you're really working on a game then you'd know that you're not designing a game to be bad, you're designing it to be the best you can manage.

Also, my Dad works for Nintendo and told me the new Mario game's coming out on the Xbox 360.
