Would have bought it day 1 if it wouldn't have been nincensored, but Nincenso of Fuckmerica is fucking retarded, also sexist and racist towards japanese culture, they should be shut down and put in jail for racism.
i knew you'd be back even though you vowed never to return to escapist. just like you'll eventually cave and buy something censored like Tokyo Mirage Sessions

Again. It's a crossover. It's just not what you wanted from a crossover.

It literally falls under the definition you linked.

Sorry that the game wasn't some dumb shit pandering.

You mean like this?

(Also chill out bruh, I'm making a point, not saying the game is shit. The animation is good, the colors are bright, the presentation is impressive. Calling it a crossover is a big stretch that only hurts the game's rep tho, so if you wanna keep calling it a crossover, that's your prerogative dude)

Who says people like Musou bought a butchered game? Back on topic it still sucks to see Kimishima's policy worked but someone made a third party patch that Nintendo hasnt cracked down on

I'm enjoying it. It's a bit as if Persona 2 overdosed on sugar, and instead of having persona pulled from myths and legends, they're from videogames. Which makes some sense, as both are fictional in reality. The whole popidols and the power of song thing is kind of dumb and cheesy, but let's be honest here, in the end it's not much different from Fates and atleast these characters know more than one freakin' song! (Seriously, Azura, work on your repertoire before the urge to throw you off a cliff rises.)

He never said he wouldn't buy said games, he only ever said he wouldn't buy them new anymore and instead get them second hand, which is fair enough.

I don't know, Fire Emblem Conquest also has high score on metacritic and that game was absolute garbage, JRPG's are between the genres that suffer worst from review gap if the series or creator is popular.
Never played it myself. What made it garbage? I heard it was more objective based and more difficult than Birthright. Was that all it was?
Personally from a story perspective it was a bit mess of ""twists"", failed attempts at emotional moments, idiot ball Olympics, and convenient scenarios. (But it was stupid fun nonetheless)

The gameplay however was a harken back to old FE games and is generally considered good. Especially Conquest.

First of all the writing is a crime against humanity, I played some terrible RPGs but never was such a bad plot, to say it shortly, the game has the good side/bad side but the bad side is so cartoonishly evil and unrepenting and the good side is so good (and japanese) it's disgusting. The battle system can be good but I absoultely loath the enemy reinforcement system, it basically makes you play a stage multiple times because at any point the game can throw enemies at your flank without warning and destroy them, and finally the whole "relationship" system is completely useless when you can't grind maps, so there's a huge part of the game that can't be played normally.
I haven't played Fates yet but the Black/White morality can't be much worse than Awakening's. Validar and Grima were as two dimensional as you can get. I don't mind reinforcements provided that I can at least move a turn before they do (fuck Awakening's tree level to the lowest depths of Loptyr), even without warning. You could always gain support in older Fire Emblem games without grinding, provided you have a well-chosen team, so I don't see the problem there.

Nah, it's worse, because the game wants to pretend it offers a nuanced perspective on Nohr, but story makes it pretty clear that siding with Nohr is a big mistake. You've got a cartoonishly evil king and henchmen, and it don't get to make a stand against them until after you've invaded an innocent country. Many people die because of you. Meanwhile, Hoshido is depicted as utterly awesome.
