I guess I should have said "Prog metal lacks coherent song structure, or is simple song structure fucked up by a bunch of wankers and drum fills." You can have tempo changes, amazing drums and great solo work, but when you push beyond gain and go to distortion, you're just trying too hard. I forgot to mention the terribad lyrics. also you can't have over-the-top tempos(22/8) just to CHUGGA yourself out of them. That's cheating. At least when Jazz left song structure in the dust they kept a fucking BEAT.

and Rage is political. I'd take Dimebag and Morello over any prog guitarist because they at least have some taste instead of just doing scale exercises all over the place.

Ok thats nice, youd have to also know that Rage isnt metal, and its a pretty meh band.

Well you said Prog sucks because they use jazz rythms, which is really just saying that they suck because you dont like a certain feature.

Then you go on about prog not having structure, which not true at all, prog has complex structures.
