This thread is dedicated to fears that are not only irrational, but totally stupid as well.

My stupid fear is that I always fear entering the wrong public restroom. If I am the only person in the restroom, I always scan around to make sure it's not the women's restroom. The sad thing is, 100% of the time this occurs while I am standing in front of the urinal. That doesn't even make sense...

So, you guys have any funny things to share?

Mines similar in a way, I alway get worried if there's no one else at my classroom. In a way it's rational, I have gone to the wrong classroom before and that can get a bit embarrassing. But I also end up wondering if it's the right lesson, right time, if the teachers in etc.

I know someone who will scream and run away if you throw a banana at him.

It's really strange.

Here's one: The media's fear that video games will morph us into psychotic killing machines.

I fear getting my toes stuck under my feet, if I'm wearing sandals, even though it's physically impossible.

I get scared in games that seem to bother no one else but me. F.E.A.R. and Deadspace scared the shit out of me, but my friends and brother don't seem effected.

Also tight spaces, good example being Bishop in Aliens, you know what I'm talking about.

Same. Although once it was not that irrational since it turned out I actually was the only one showed up for the class.
It's a bit awkward when you are the only student in the class, by the way.

The fear of bad toilet paper. Seriously, it can be like whiping your ass with sandpaper, and who wants that?... I'll tell you: No one!

Fear of black people(they just always look so menacing!)
Fear of dialing the wrong number even though I take it from my phone's memory agenda.

Stupid? Well, I've spent the last year with a sometimes debilitating fear that my intellect is failing me- for whatever reason. In fact, there is a new reason every week or so.
"Oh, this fan sprayed some talcom powder into my room- shit, what if breathing it can have negative cognitive effects?"
"Oh, look, an experiment at school using a lead compound. Oh no! I might maybe have gotten a tiny amount somewhere near my long hair, what if I accidentally ingest it!"
I know the reasons are barely worth even thinking about, but I do panic about these things, and fuck, it is exhausting.

Then always ensure you have your own personal supply :p
If I'm going to be out for a long time, I usually ensure I have spare tissues or toilet paper. Never know when you're going to get the cubicle with no paper :p

For some reason, I am always a little worried that I will trip and take my toenails off. Yeah... I have never understood why either.

My girlfriend is afraid of worms. All kinds of wormy things, even caterpillars. And her aunt is ultra paranoid about mercury levels in fish, UV rays in sunlight and just about everything you can think of inbetween.
I can't judge tho, because she gets rid of spiders for me. I'm arachnophobic.

I do think I actually have a fear of zombies. I love zombie films and games, but the whole idea really disturbs me a lot. That's why I always have a contingency plan!
