...Sega, I don't think Silver really counts under 'legendary', as much as Sonic Team wants to think otherwise. Also, I'm sure the fans will be happier if you don't remind them of Sonic '06.

When are they going to make one of his games with the old Freedom Fighters cast? Before the days of Knuckles and various other hedgehogs. I'd love to see Bunnie Rabbot in the games, or as a playable character, or even as a fight! She is the only one of the good side characters that could ever stand up to Sonic. As a plus she is not a lame ear grating personality like all these other super hedgehogs they keep putting into the cast, or Knuckles. Nothing like a cyborb bunny with rocket legs, missiles, arm cannon, shield generators, and super strength pummeling on foes.

Definitely agree. As much as I would love it they can't bring all the bosses from Sonic Adventure 2. This just makes me wonder what levels and bosses they will be bringing over from each of the games and if they are going to add any twists to the battles that will keep old fans on their toes.

Also, In order to have maximum fun here is my favorite song from a sonic game.

Gladly, I'm not as biased as many Sonic fans are with Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, especially 2.

Granted, the boss fights of the 16 bit Sonic games weren't that great to begin with, in fact, I never really liked the boss battles in any Sonic game. But it seems like Sonic Team are building up a Sonic game of epic proportions.

Also, I like the new look of Perfect Chaos and to anyone saying otherwise, needs to take off those damned nostalgia glasses and compare it with the damned Dreamcast game, it looks awful, to say the least.

Everything I've heard and seen about this game makes me want it more and more - 'till this. Silver is the most awful character ever, and Shadow exemplifies everything that went wrong with the Sonic franchise. Yeah, kids who were still kids when the Dreamcast rolled out loved Shadow and likely still do, but those of us who grew up with Sonic on the Genesis/Mega Drive see for Shadow for what he is.

It seemed like SEGA were really trying to grab the oldest of the old Sonic fans with this game, but this trailer looks like they're still hell bent on doing everything we don't want them to do - including overwrought plots in a game about a speedy blue hedgehog, crowbarring in additional characters that nobody ever asked for, and generally being dumb as shit.

SEGA: There's no reason to include Shadow and Silver. You need a couple of rivals for Sonic? Go with Metal Sonic & Knuckles. They don't incite as much blind hatred among the loyal fans who've stuck around for fifteen years hoping you'll eventually stop sucking ass. Additionally, fuck all of this "Perfect Chaos" bullshit and all of the "lore" and "mythology" associated with it. It's a game about a bright blue hedgehog that runs really fast. It isn't Final Fucking Fantasy.


All that being said, the gameplay trailers still look really promising. While this trailer pretty much proves the Sonic Cycle is doomed to repeat forever, I'll still try to refrain from judging it too harshly until I get my hands on it.

Someone in this thread said the new look of Perfect Chaos is much worse thant he original one. First of all, Perfect Chaos is a creature made of water, and is also batshit, cuckoo for cocoa puffs crazy. The way it moves in the trailer actually reflects those characteristics. The Perfect Chaos on the original Sonic Adventure moved like a freaking fast food restaurant animatron: Move head, move head, roar, move head, move head, move head, roar...

Agreed! Besides, they already have over 100 acts in the game currently. Moreover, there will most likely be modding and DLC in the future for more levels. Remember, this is 20 years of history for Sonic. This is a lot to cover, and not too much focus should be put on era or game compared to another. I jush wish there was one boss per game though - instead of just era and rivals. Heh, three of the earlier responses here illustrate a fraction of what Sonic Team has to put up with each and every day. They'll never be pleased with their efforts and will keep on living in their own world. Ignore 'em and enjoy the game to come
