The video is insanely quiet, I had to ramp up the volume just to hear it normally.

OT: I like the 40K universe, but the game doesn't seem very appealing. Pretty much every clip shows you as an individual, fighting squads of enemies, it should be much larger scale and you should always have a team with you or it doesn't seem right.

It also looks like it needs a lot of polishing before it is released, if that video is showing off the final build then they can expect a lot of hate aimed at them upon release.

This is my second most anticipated game this year after Skyrim.

It's nice to see Gretchin and Squigs as part of the Ork forces this time around. I missed those guys in Dawn of War 2.

Also I'm not sure why they didn't just say who the "shadowy" faction is, seeing as how
They already announced Chaos is going to be in the game. Unless they mean another race (Eldar, perhaps?)

This looks like a LOT of fun. Seems like it has a third person shooter/brawler feel to it, which could be good if it's pulled off right. I just hope there are more options wargear-wise, and you're not only using boltgun/bolt pistol/chainsword the whole time.

Ye...and I really really really really really want jump packs in the game....I loved sending Thaddeus into enemy crowds and just mow them down with jumps xD

I love me some chaos aswell :3

I'd like for it to be the Tyranids that they add... though you can't really win against them... ah well, it'll still be a good game

That looks really fun, I'm really looking forward to it now.

It would be cool if there were tyranids in the game. But I think dark eldar should have some part to play.

I think there will be. The early trailers had Thunder Hammers, jump packs, Banners, Heavy Bolters.

I think that was a pretty weak trailer.
They're trying to sell 40k as a Grim Dark setting when it works better with a splash of comedy, at least in my opinion.

The older trailers look good though, they showed more variety in gameplay, and were overall badass.

edit: Can we also have a plot that isn't the Orks being manipulated by Chaos/Eldar?
The DOW games do that every time. Something fresh would be nice! :D

the evil force behind the orcs will be chaos and if you run into a dead end where every other human on the planet has betrayed you some farseer will pop up to help you because she saw you in a vision.

one thing i noticed is that everyone in the video said "warhammer 40000" and everyone i know says Warhammer 40k

Looks like Mass Effect got knocked up by a 40k source book... and let me just say that's one teen pregnancy I'm totally in favour of.

This trailer is definitely aimed at the uninitiated, but the combat looks awesome. Massive set pieces, gritty environment, brutal kills... every fiber of my being wants this to be inside my PC and/or Xbox right now.

Dammmmmmn. Want sooo badly. But soo nice to have a set release month.

One, tiny issue though.
Orks are a fusion of animal and fungus. They have very few organs, most of their bodies are actually made up of a spongy, fungus mass, their blood contains countless distinct fungal organisms and has a high chlorophyll content with trace elements of carbon and copper.
The point to this you are asking?
Well that is simple my friend.

Ork blood is green!

They either need to fix that shit or at least have a option for ork blood to be the correct colour.
Nah, Relic has pretty much agreed with GW that 'their' Orks are going to be A) British hooligans and B) have red blood, just like in Dawn of War. Live with it.

I'm really looking forward to this game but...

Space Marines fighting off an Ork invasion while a darker threat looms overhead? it's the exact same story to Dawn of War with chaos and DoWII with Tyranids. and all 3 are made by relic. I'm hoping theres a little more originality into the story, especially with such a rich universe to dig from

I'm willing to bet this game is using the same engine as Dawn of War. Which isn't a bad thing, I just hope they add some more detail to the models before release so that I don't feel like I'm running around in an RTS.
