Heh, God. Haven't thought about him in years. Tyler stopped his bike, set his foot down, and froze. He felt a familiar feeling in his heart, one that he hadn't heard since middle school.
A distant voice called out to him, and he hadn't answered it in years, jaded by taking over his own life, forging his own path.
"Y-you never left, did you?" he muttered aloud. "All that time, I thought you were gone... but I'm the one who walked away..." Kelsey noticed a silence behind her, so she glanced to see him stopped in the middle of the road.
"Tyler!!!" Screeching to a halt, she jumped off the bike and ran back towards him.
"There is the possibility that you hate us... but you might also love us, like you said you do..." His head turned skyward. "What is it? I doubt you're doing this without some kind of reason..."
He's manipulating you.
"Healing is manipulation, too... He wants to help..." Returning his gaze forward, he saw Kelsey running towards him. "She needs your help, and you need his..." The President's daughter's face flashed in his mind, from when he saw her on the news. "She needs your help, too. Go-..."
It's been too long since you've called out to him.
"G-god, help me. Help us help her." Finally making it to him, Kelsey grabbed his shirt and got ready to shake him.
"Please." The shaking began.
"Hey, wake the hell up!" she shouted in his face. "We have a First Daughter to save, you know!"
