Precisely. The backpack is empty (we would normally assume he had stuff like clothes in it) and the maglight is currently strapped to it using the MOLLE webbing. He doesnt have any weapons, he just can use them about as good as any normal marine (so not really an expert or anything but proficient). He doesn't have any explosives either but he is good with them. If thats a little too much I can change it but I was going for realism there.

That should be OK, Abako, I just wanted to make sure you didn't think you were going to be run-and-gunning the place and then blowing it up.

Still got spaces left to join this RP? Ultra recommended it in the RP thread of epic win that is Fleet Command. also would it be alright if i just used that same character from that thread.

I'm still in, and Annabel still works for this setting. She's a very mobile character. Scale down her drug stash and put it in a fake toothpaste tube in her purse, and she's good to fly.

Thirty posts happen while I'm out christmasing, what the hell.

Just to double check, as I have gotten a bit confused, we are still doing the hotel correct? And is there a city or a locale the hotel is in, or is it just some hotel in Anywhere, USA (or where ever)?

I wouldn't expect so considering Fleet takes place in space and is sci-fi and this is fairly realistic(for a horror RP).
EDIT: I am also advertising in my Fallout RP thread

Yeah linch, Vladirmir is a little over the top for the kind of characters that are being presented in this RP. But you could maybe modify him but the whole way he operates in Fleet wouldnt really work here.

Okay i actually assumed he would be better for a modern setting. but since we are going with realistic i might either chasnge him to a hunter or just make up someone new. when are character sheets needed by thw way.

He said at earliest Saturday of last week, but he hadn't planned on it starting that soon.

Your a smart one, Im sure you can think something up. How about a chef of some sort, even people trying to survive gotta eat eh? Or I dunno if the timetable allows for that amount of time, so I dunno look at the other characters and make something you think might make a good addition to the group.

From what I discussed with Qayin, it seems more like a hotel in Anyvillage, UK, but let's just call it Generic Hotel in Unspecified Township.

It is very important that you read Qayin's initial post and subsequent posts to make sure you understand how this RP is going to work.

Please send me a PM. It's a pain in the butt to try and scan the thread to keep track of this stuff. Also, if you plan to scale her down, please edit your post and do so.

While I appreciate you impatience, Revenent, because I'm in the same boat, your tone here is rude. He'd the GM, what he says goes, and players, or would-be players need to accept that. He knows what's going on behind the scenes and what sort of traps he (and I) have planned out, and what the likely mortality rates are for likely situations, and you don't.

What would help:
a.) Finding more players

What does not help:
a.) "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"
b.) Questioning the GM's judgement regarding the game.
c.) Giving the GM shit because he's getting sick of a. and b.
Please read the follow-up to the post you quoted. Like I said, anything I say is just me expressing myself (or venting) and is not meant to be taken all that seriously. I apologize for seeming rude.

User Name: Linchowlewy

Character Name: Rafael Sans

Equipment: Mechanical Pencil (4 leads) and a small sketchbook

Background: He grew up in Italy and still bears a very strong Italian accent to how he speaks english (he still has perfect english). at the age of 9 his family moved to America due to his father being moved over there for public relations with a company. while in italy he was one of the more popular kids in school but never seemed to gain that popularity after going to America. at school he was always treated as that creepy foreign student and would just spend his lunches drawing. he would draw whenever he could; in his books, on the ground with chalk, on the desk, and occasionally on the walls. after moving up to highschool he found a group of other students who enjoyed art, but eventually ended up leaving them as he loathed the 'Modern Art' feel they were going for. he graduated from school with flying colours and spent a gap year back in italy. after seeing the sights of home he returned back to America to begin an art course in Las Angeles. there he gained much reputation for his work and skill with pencils but never gained many friends. he always distanced himself from people and spent his time alone drawing. he then graduated from the school and went home to phoenix to celebrate with his family and get a job.

Reason for being in location: Rafael had just finished his course at art school and was going back home to phoenix and was simply at the hotel to spend the night before hopping back into his crappy old car.

Any Additional Details: he has a small thin mustache and wears his slick black hair in a ponytail. most often he wears grey and has glasses.

Ok, thanks for relaying that, I have updated my character so his reason for being in the hotel fits better.

If I'm not intruding... I'll be hopping in here. If I make a mistake with my character sheet... don't yell at me too much.

Username: Flying-emu

Character name: Remy White (yay, generic names)

Equipment: Standard first-aid kit (2 boxes of small bandages, 2 square feet medium bandages, 1 sq. ft. gauze, small medical scissors, medical tape, wrist/ankle brace), standard clothing, small suitcase (two suits of clothing), personal hygiene supplies (toothbrush, toothpaste, small comb, small bottle cologne), book bag (Anatomy: A Study), simple silver ring (left hand, middle finger)

Background:
Born on the outskirts of Sydney, Australia, Remy immigrated to Scotland with his parents at the age of seven. Being mocked by his peers, he grew into a mildly reclusive man with weakened communication skills. Throughout his schooling career he was tormented by other students, until he developed severe self-esteem issues.

True to cliche, though, there was a young woman who befriended and protected him throughout his schooling career. Going by the name of Tammy Scotts, she and Remy became close friends, though never anything more.

On the eve of his graduation, Remy received an admission letter from Harvard Medical School. Taking the opportunity, Remy moved to America to be educated in the field of medicine, leaving behind his family and friend.

The day after graduating his M.D. program, Remy received a call from an unknown number. He was told that (INSERT LOCATION NAME HERE) was in desperate need of trained physicians, and demand was incredibly high for one. The caller told him that his credentials were outstanding, and the pay would be handsome for a man of Remy's age. Remy reluctantly agreed, and the caller informed him that a residence would be prepared for him when he arrived.

When his flight landed in (INSERT LOCATION NAME HERE), Remy was met by a well-dressed man with wings of white in his hair. Introducing himself as Frederick, he told Remy that quarters for him were not available, but that he would be pleased to pay for Remy to stay at the (INSERT HOTEL NAME HERE) Hotel until a more permanent residence was prepared. Remy reluctantly agreed, and currently resides in the hotel.

Other information: Generally a coward. Isn't phased by blood or carnage, however. He's slow to trust anyone, but is fiercely loyal to those he does. Doesn't like Chinese food.

... I added the Chinese food for no reason whatsoever.

Emu. read my background and then read yours. it's even the same bloody age that they moved. now i think thats either huge coincidence or you just copied mine. sorry if i'm coming off as an ass here but that background school story and immigration thing is almost exactly like mine. now this is going to be really awkward in the RP so one of us will need to change, that or we can become friends.
