I have read the whole thing and the comment that bugged me the most is the one who said "Well, nobody understand the concept of free speech bla bla bla..." i am really tired of that fuckin' excuse when someone is saying something stupid.

Americans... And then they wonder why half the world hates them.
Sorry, but unless you counted 307,006,550 comments then you completely belong in that group of red necks.
"What is this!? I don't even...."

Whatever you said just wasn't enough to penetrate my cranium.
Need more explanation.
that was an extremely generalized statement you made, and he took the population of america, and turned them eaech into their own voiced comment, essentially.

so either your trolling or you really feel that way and to be honest, it's pretty sad.

This settles it's I'm leaving America the first chance I get, that was just.... indescribable, and horrible, I feel bad for the Japanese. First they had the tsunami, then, victims of the American education system had to go be dicks about it on face book(did anyone else laugh out loud when someone called them "krauts" and said it was revenge for nuking pearl harbor? Cause I did). My heart goes out to those who are suffering in Japan because of this natural(not sent by god as revenge!) disaster.

Dude...people are assholes and besides...weren't the NUKES payback?
not to mention how unrelated the two are. It's like saying 9-11 is payback for the wholesale slaughter of Native Americans.

Hey, world powers? It's okay to nuke the USA now; they need to have two cities obliterated in a nuclear holocaust to "even out the karma."

Not only did we nuke them decades ago, but since then they've provided us with tons of inventions and technological advances. How can people be pissed off still? This is why I hate people

Man, people get psyched about stuff like this all the time. Like with Libya, they shut off oil, it goes up, people pay more, the markets are happy. The markets are happy with any kind of disaster. But yeah, these aren't just the markets, they're citizens. As soon as you condone murder of thousands of innocent people, you yourself have become an aid to the destructive force. What I find funny is that these people often mention God in their facebook posts, biblically it says if you think it, you've committed it. So in the lords eyes these people are guilty of murder cause they're not only fine these people are dying, they want it.

Although I'm not really religious in a sense I still think that statement holds pretty true.

Sad basterds

I think if I was trying to make America look bad I could come up with better ammunition than a small amount of the population saying ridiculous things.

Just because something isn't pro-american doesn't mean it's anti-american, I didn't say "Americans are clearly stupid" as other people have in this thread. I said that some Americans had been saying these things, not ALL Americans.
First off, in your OP, you actually state that "a fair amount of Americans" believe this, which implies that you believe the number is not small. You also use the word "torrent" to describe the number of comments, which then implies not just a non-small number, but a large number. That doesn't exactly come off as a belief that this only applies to a small percentage of the population.

Second, it seems like you meant it as an anti-American thing given the timing and the general attitudes of the forum, which if you've been around the forum lately, you could have been pretty easily able to pick up on. If you really believed that it is just a small number of Americans who believe this, and didn't want people to associate these ideas with the country at large, you could have been clearer in your OP about it. Sure, some would ignore it and rag on the US anyway, but it wouldn't leave the impression that that's what you wanted. I know that not every thread about the US or any country at all should be a good thing, but the way this OP was worded doesn't exactly read right to me.

Insensitive pricks. I thought that's what Hiroshima was about? How would they like it if I said Hurricane Katrina was revenge for the whole war of independence thing?

Hardly surprising, though I find it hilarious that they celebrate the misfortune of a country with which they have strong economic and strategic interests. I'd say the nukes and the surrender was enough of a lesson, but then again at least they aren't calling for the extermination of all asiatic untermenschen for the sake of creating American lebensraum.
