Oh, that's an easy one: Twilight!

At least with Twilight I can read pretty much any book I want because she has a pretty big library available to her and it would be pretty cool to have a dragon find me my books rather then having to look for them myself.

I haven't read either and do not ever plan to, but from from a purely principled stand-point, I'd take 50 Shades all day every day. Meyer blatantly tried to make her series of asinine smut the next Harry Potter and people ate that crap up with both hands, despite the books being nothing but borderline erotica with a VERY inappropriate message aimed at teen females. 50 Shades has at least been touted as the asinine smut it is, with no pretense or claim (in Twilight's case read: lie)to be something else. I have no problem with pointless smut when it's admitting to be such, it's when the author puts on airs and tries to make it something else that I get really peeved.

So i'll choose twilight because Twilight doesn't contain an abusive, manipulative psychopath as the ideal husband while at the same time demonizing BDSM relationships.

So I have heard enough about the shit characters, but is it really an abusive relationship when it's consensual? Because if I apply that logic to vanilla sex, all sex is rape even if consensual.

And is Earl Grey really the "ideal" husband in the story?

The problem is that it's not really consensual. Ana "Rexia" Steele wants a normal "Boyfriend-girlfriend" relationship. Christian MOTHERFUCKING Grey wants a "Dom/Sub" relationship, to the extent he wants her to sign a contract handing over her entire life to him.

But every time Ana tries to get what she wants, Christian sexes her mind away from the idea and imposes his will anyway.

Should have read the fine print then. People have gotten figuratively "fucked" because of contracts. This one is just literally.

Because is isn't healthy.

People shouldn't hand their lives over to someone else. You only get one after all. I know that's my opinion but as someone who has been in an actual abusive relationship I can't see that kind of dynamic ending well.
