From test firing rockets?

Test firing rockets is the preferred method of making sure weapon systems work effectively.

I don't think it would be in the countries best interest to make a bunch of weapons and then not test them. That's dangerous.

This could go bad very quickly and very easily.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that a) the launch is canceled, b)if it does launch, the missile does not exceed the borders of N Korea and c) that none of our ships inexplicably blows up like the USS Maine (was that the right ship?).

Man, I totally misread the article. It's not even a test fire military rocket. It's a satellite rocket.

We cannot allow the North Koreans to have DirecTV

You're right but you're overthinking it. That's just the motives the governement want you to believe so that a majority support their attacks.

The reason they need to be stopped is a lot more basic then that. It's simply because they're not allies.

You're joking, right?

They're not our ally so we need to "stop them"?

Sarcasm, right?

And that satellite might have a giant laser beam on it.

You never know.

I wish I was joking. Two different armies + conflicts = war.

Simple.

Maybe I missed the conflict?

Did they attack us and I wasn't paying attention?

Yeah, I can imagine this playing out

North Korea: Thats it we are declaring war!

US+China+Basically the rest of the world: Fine, we are eager for a reason to capture your country and claim it is for the best, what are you going to do? Use missiles? We have a missile defense shield, bring it.

North Korea: Declaring war? Did we say that? We meant declaring...uhhh...whore! Thats right! Prostitution is now legal!

You honestly think North Korea could take on the US? Let alone everyone else that is pissed off with them (99% of the world) would jump in.
Don't underestimate the power of satellites with lasers on them.

They are like sharks, but in SPACE.

The conflict is evident. You dont need know a lot about North Korea to see that they're being forced into isolation from the rest of the world.

America is North Keroa. Now listen to this.

Yes, this video is nothing but a big fat lie about North Korea and what's happening there.

Holy crap saved.

Waaait, if North Korea hasn't launched their Shark Space Laser yet, how are you in possession of such a picture?

Something you'd like to tell us? Hmmmm?

No, the reason people get antsy when NK starts to play games is not because "they're not allies" but because they're collapsed to the point of having taken up most of their rail to sell to the Russians and Chinese for food and are pointing 8000 antique artillery pieces at Seoul "just in case". Besides which, there never was a permanent declaration of peace between the two sides in the 50's and the armistice expired a short while back; which means that the two sides are surviving on good will alone.

Trying to equate questionably motivated idiot charges into the middle east within the past 20 years and our ongoing defense against a situation started by "whelp, I guess we can conquer South Korea and drive out the US" moves of North Korea 60 years ago is very foolish. I mean, their published official position is that there IS no South Korea and that Japan and the US are part of the same War of Korean Liberation. They've co-opted baby-Jesus-in-the-manger imagery for Kim Il Sung's origin at sacred Mt. Paektusan (not sure of the romanization of that one). They are nucking futs and armed.

I truly hope that nobody here believes North Korea is a shadow war based on the US wanting something, unless that something is for NK to calm the fuck down and stabilize. Anyone who thinks NK is a wag-the-dog war or a 1984 style thought control game needs to lay off the crack and seek restorative brain surgery.

Ok, I don't care if they're isolated.

North Korea won't do anything stupid to anyone.

China is not on their side. China is watching them just as closely as we are, even more so. Because if North Korea is crazy enough to attack the US or any of its allies, then it can also be stupid enough to attack China. China knows that the N. Korean government is borderline maniacal, and if the rocket appears to be a threat to anyone, they'll shoot it down if we don't.

Plus, although China once allied itself with North Korea, they aren't really allies anymore. China has an on-going fuel embargo with North Korea, mostly because they don't trust those people. They actually trust JAPAN more than they do North Korea (and that's saying a lot, because China hates Japan).

And if you paid any attention to modern day history, North Korea has launched rockets all over the place in the last 20 years. Mostly testing short to medium range missiles by launching them into the sea. Every time they do this, most of the European, Asian and North American countries get nervous. The US will send stuff out to watch. Britain will keep their finger on the button. Japan will put its air force on alert. Russia idles their bombers in Siberia. India clenches their butt cheeks. China will move troops close to the border. It's the same shit, different day.

I have to find them, but basically rumors he died and all the photos you see are photoshops of him being added in.

The main idea of it is though that he's either sick, or had a stroke.

If he died, I doubt they would tell us right away.

That sound exactly like that I said. They got their own opinions on stuff and we got our own opinions on that same stuff next thing you know the two sides are disagreeing and then war was declared.

Everything in between is not really important... it's just to brainwash fools into thinking that it's a good idea to sacrifice their own life to defend a line that has been drawn on the floor.

Ok, I accept that I have talked about the end of the earth before but the chances of the Yanks(America) would go to war over a bloody missal launch is so unlikely that you have more chance of Israel getting a life. plus why would the Yanks go to war in the first, mainly because if there is one thing I know about the Yanks and that is that never go to war the same place twice.
