UK huh? Can't you just import something from mainland Europe then? Also, I only looked at it briefly, but I didn't see Steam mentioned.
Depends, would you like to play your game in Spanish?

Multiple language options seems to be getting rare these days, which is a serious problem when importing from Europe.
Only a few games will get translated to Dutch in the Netherlands, the rest is English. Of course, when importing from countries arrogant/stupid enough to not(or rarely) teach any foreign language in schools you'll end up with translated shit.

On-Topic: Just checked the only place I order online, the extras listed on that website are a ring and some item to increase EXP gained and that's apparently the pre-order bonus... No mention of a collectors edition or the DLC

Once again.

*checks Steam*

Pre Purchase for £29.99

And get:

Steam Exclusive Ring
Pre Purchase Exclusive Ring
Blood Dragon Armour
The Stone Prisoner

Pre Purchase the Dragon Age: Origins - Digital Deluxe (UK) for £39.99

And you get everything listed above, plus the new zone, some wallpapers, and some downloadable music.

So the only thing were missing out is some tin case, some making of DVD and a few in game weapons, that if there like any other CE weapons, will get replaced at the end anyway?

Woop de shit.

Might be a good idea if you read the thread instead of posting and making yourself look like a moron.

All I see in this thread is a bunch of whiny fucker's.

You know what, I never hear any of the yanks complaining that lose out on content sometimes because different stores do different content promotion's.

No boycotts or stupid things like that are going to change it. Either suck it up and buy from GAME or Steam, or don't, its your choice.

Some of us either don't want to or can't use Digital Downloads to get their game and therefore miss out because...uh...why are we missing out again?

Do you realise that there are other platforms than Pc's? We've been told that The Stone Prisoner DLC and Blood Dragon armour will be included with all copies of the game, but now it seems that the UK is missing out on this. I can't download the game for 360, and i don't want to shell out more money for a gimped collectors edition. Pay attention and stop being a dick.

I have to say that I feel sorry for those buying it on a console as at least with the PC there are fairly easy ways of getting the DLC (not that I would encourage any sort of illigal activity). There appears to be a letter writing campaign starting up and all I can say is join in and hope for the best. Hopefully something will be done (but I doubt it)

Wow, you really are a moron. It's nothign to do with the "different stores doing different content promotions". It's about false advertising and receiving less for the same price than EVERY SINGLE OTHER REGION in the world.

By the way, guys, this person is an example of why we're getting fucked over by gaming companies when we buy their products, with DLC and microtransactions and other equal bullshit.

Hmmmmmmm, well that's a bit of a kick in the teeth. Due to the fact that I have recently purchased a place of my own my disposible income has taken quite a hit recently. Whilst I owe a PC I really fancied getting this for the 360 as it's nice to sit and chill some evenings on the sofa and play on my TV rather than my monitor.

However after reading this I am at a crossroads. Do I spunk £50 on the CE edition for the 360 or just 'play it safe' and get the PC version from Steam :/

Does anyone have any idea if this get resolved soon or is it likely to just continue the way it is and to hell with anyone from the UK?

Knowing EA, probably the latter.

It'd be nice to get an article about it on this site, though, to be honest.

Damn, that comparison really hit home for me just how much we Brits lost out... you Americans get all the good stuff. While I don't necessarily care about cloth maps that cost about 20p to make and tin cases, I would like a good reason why North America gets preference.

There's probably a good reason from a business standpoint, but good luck getting Bioware/EA to fucking explain it.

Oh well, maintain the British stiff upper lip and all that.

Those twats at EA better not pull this fucking shit with Mass Effect 2. Im already seriously considering waiting for a second hand copy of Dragon Age. If they pull it with ME2, I will be forced to boycott all EA products, which sadly includes Bioware games, and they are a game developer that I have trusted for about a decade now.

Yeah, uhh... Don't do that.

Anyway, we Brits will get shafted to the end of time. If we kick up a fuss, we'll get repeatedly told about how we were apparently saved by the Americans in World War 2 and then we get blamed when we tell them to fuck off with a mild, gentle fist to the face and a reminder that real history books are available.

I also think there's some penis envy, what with people like me living in cheapass student housing that has more history than their country.

who cares what language it is, at least you won't have to pay as much.
Erm, it's an RPG. I think the fact that you can't read any of the text would have a slight affect on your game experience... douche

Even though the problem doesn't affect me: if you don't like what Bioware is doing, don't get the game. Or move to the USA. Either or.

Funny thing is, he made that song criticizing the U.S.A. for the Vietnam war. People just misunderstood it.

edit: forgot to comment on the issue at hand.

I'd say that you U.K. people should just import the U.S. copy then. Or if you can't do that, then just pirate the free DLC. After all, if its free in the first place, its not really pirating. And if it was supposed to come with the game in the first place, your just getting what they promised you.
