"Unless parents opt in"

Clever girl...

Also, about the boys raping other boys, I'm over 100% sure 99% of my friends watch porn and yet, I've never been raped by any of them. Its the Genius/Idiot chance, these kids were going to do that with or without porn, or at least were capable of it

Early sexualisation is caused by teaching kids in Primary School about sex. End of story.

Also, students hate the government enough as it is. They've already been rioting for other reasons. This'll just add to the fire as we don't have freedom of choice.

Sounds like the whole world is doing an Australia. Now I really am ashamed to live here.
An 'Australia'? what do you mean?
He means with regards to censorship. Australia doesn't have an "adult" rating. So if something comes along that would be rated adult then Australia simply doesn't allow it certification to be sold in the country... meaning the people of the country allowed to legally acquire them aren't allowed to make their own choices into whether or not they want to buy it.

Wait, what? We* just don't have an R18+ rating for games. What 'adult rating' are you talking about?
*Is Australian

Well, it's not that bad if you read the article, but it still seems unnecessary. What happened to the days when people were raising their own children instead of bitching to the government when they screw up? I seriously doubt this will pass.

Debt up to its eyeballs, and the UK is still looking at new ways to piss away tax payer money.

Daivd Cameron has gone too far now.

I could just about deal with the budget cuts and the "Education Inflation"[sub](copyright Anchupom 2010)[/sub]
This is just ridiculous. What are all the unemployed and students who can't go to university going to do now? D:

The government won't ban porn for the reason they won't ban tobacco or alcohol, it's very hard to bring in a sweeping change, either legalising or banning anything that gives the masses pleasure.

Even worse in terms of porn, the UK actually has a porn industry, and we're certainly not short of consumers, so the government would lose a bucketload of tax by outlawing it, again, that's why they don't ban tobacco, it makes more tax money than it costs in healthcare.

Honestly, it's hilarious to think that they'd do anything for the good of the people, they'll do what makes them look good to get votes, and they'll do what makes money, or keeps their rich friends in the corporations happy.

(And in saying that, maybe the UK industry is screwed, can't compete with the Hustlers of the world.)

I just hope that if a vote comes up, every MP in favour of it allows their PC to be checked out to make sure they're not holding any illegal files. That's got to be fair, right? One rule for everyone?

Also as a side not, we're protecting children from sex? Their very first experience in life was of a very close up gaping vagina, without wishing to be to crude, and they only exist because nine months ago, their parents were having sex.

We really need to get ourselves sorted out when it comes to fucking, it's natural, it's enjoyable, and it's good for you.

EDIT: Grr. link from the main article, headline -

TEENAGERS are producing and distributing child pornography in WA.

Actual facts of article.

A few horny teens took camera phone shots of their boobies or winky and sent it to their girlfriend/boyfriend. That's being in the child porn industry according to the newspapers.
And I worry that sometimes I'm being unfair when I ***** about how they twist the truth to promote scandal and anger.

I took a shower this morning, that's 'exposing my genitals on private property' surely? Come n get me police!

I've seen a few bullshit articles from that site already this morning. I don't think the UK would block porn, our government isn't perfect but it's a lot more reasonable than that.

I'll believe it when someone links to a BBC article about it.

Oh wait..
"Pornography sites will be blocked at source unless people specifically ask to view them."
So basically, nothing will be different then!
My thoughts exactly. No big deal. Some people really get their panties in a twist when it comes to censorship.

Last line of the article: The ISPA did not return calls to London's Sunday Times.

Go to the Sunday Times' website and it's the first story. It is also on the front of the newspaper today. Newspapers who get exclusives don't share their stories with other newspapers for the good of the people.
