I think this applies to retards on Live more than little kids though.
I would be mad too. I mean he spoiled the book, I didn't even get to read that book where Jesus dies yet. I heard it is such a amazing book it causes wars. Just kidding :D

unfortunately, i use psn. god, i would love to have my sexuality questioned by whiny high-pitched voices MUCH MORE than the soul-crushing silence of psn.

Well if you have ever met a young wrestling fan who has truly never grasp the concept pro wrestling is mostly fake then you'll understand my next story.

I was playing Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 on XBOX Live and I chose to be the wrestler C.M. Punk who is a bad guy. I've been watching this guy wrestle for years before he was in WWE and I've met him so he is one of my favorite.

Ok enough back story. I put my mic in and in comes some 10 year old. He got the stereotypical high pitched voice and he says the my guy is a "fagot" and he is going to "kick my ass". Now this is all high pitched like Alvin and the Chipmunks said it, so I couldn't help but laugh.

Now he is pissed I'm laughing at him so all these insults, homophobic and against my mother keep coming. Now remember all I did was pick a bad guy and laugh when he said "fagot". This is on par to picking Bowser in Super Smash Bros. I'm terribly sorry hearing young children swearing is funny to me.

So match starts and I beat him in two minutes. Send him a message that states: "Whose the fagot now?"

Never heard from him again. That's about the only experience I can think of.

I have only one occasion that this happened to me on xbox live. Me and my friend were playing some Gears of War 2 Horde, when we were joined by 3 kids no older than 8. They were arguing about who had the best mom. That argument made me and my friend laugh are asses off for 10 minutes. Then they quit.

Only awesome thing I had and the second time I've ever had an annoying 10yo on Xbox live was when I was playing Reach Beta. I had a gravity hammer and was chasing the kid across the map and the entire time he was screaming on mic yelling "No NO NONO NON NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-*Hammer connects with his face*!!!!

Me and my brother could not stop laughing it was just so awesome.

Not on Xbox live but back when I played Wow I had a guildie who was 14 and when we got in an argument for kicks and giggles and when I called his mom a whore in the escalating argument he stopped me and said "Dude that's not cool my mom really is a prostitute."

I felt like an asshole after that.

I've spent years playing online on the PC, and have never seen one of these legendary creatures. Obviously, they all flee before my passage and melt into the intertubes.

...or something. God, I'd hate to use Xbox Live if all the stories are true.
You've never played Counter Strike: Source before? Live is a haven of acceptance and intelligence compared to some of the servers I've played CSS on. Large public servers too, not the small private ones.
I've played CSS, but I've never noticed them. All that seems to happen is that people say 'lol noob' a lot...

I use Marathon, Lightweight and Commando with a Tac Knife on the medium maps, or if I'm playing a small map, the Riot Shield, RPG, Claymore, Scavenger, Danger Close and Commando.
You are the worst kind of person...
[sub]OK, fine. I use Commando Pro and a tac knife sometimes too.[/sub]

How very mature of you.

It is clear you showed that young child how a grown-up should act.

/sarcasm
You didn't really need the /sarcasm bit, as the sarcasm there is thick enough that you could grab it and beat someone to death with it.

Your servers were far better than mine, then. The worst I've ever seen of Live was like a picnic in comparison with what I used to see and hear on a daily basis when playing CSS.

Yep. I make no excuses or attempts to hide it, I'm just a jerk. The sound of people raging, and even the mystical "such-and-such player has left the game", after coming across my knife or claymore for the 10th time that match is something I find to be immensely amusing.

When I lived with my ex, we were playing about on the Rock Band multiplayer with some small girl who was pretty good, she picked the song she wanted to battle against and my ex was like "yeah, this is easy" and aced it. When he picked this horrific song on impossible or whatever difficulty it was, all we heard on the speakers was this massive shriek followed by "it's too HARD, I'm getting my big brother to play against you!!"

We both looked at it each other like what, and her brother was seriously amazing. He just completely destroyed my ex. It was hilarious.

It took me back to the playground days of "i'm getting my big brother on yooou" haha!

I mute everyone as fast as possible, but it is true.
They complain games cause violance, and all these bad things, but they dont inforce it one bit
I belive children shouldnt play 18 and older games, weather theyer parents purchase them or not. And i honestly think this should be enforced.
Im only 19, and i think this. Because its something that needs to be done before things really get out of hand.

I dont care that kids play games online, i dont care if theyer 12, 15, or 17. The problem is that theyer playing adult games, with adult themes.
I don't know, i think if the kid is able to "get" the adult themes, and understand that its fiction and would never ever happen in real life, and that they can understand its artistic value as well. Although that being said, im not sure if a lot of underage kids are willing to understand that or just try to pwn guys in multiplayer instead.
I always get confused when people say someone under the age on the box deserves to play it, no they don't! They deserve to play the games which are rated for them, a game gets a rating for a reason and if that rating specifies that it is not suitable for kids IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR KIDS!

i was on Ps3 3 kids under 10 [i assume] were saying gay remakes to me racial slurs that i didn't really understand [at one point called me 'Whitey Mcnigger'] and other things about my mum.

so i turn on my mic and talk in a really creepy voice like Billy the puppet from Saw and i say to them 'Would you like To Play a Game? well dont turn around or i will get you in your sleep'

they left that match faster then a a Rabbit getting chased by a fox. Except for 1 he started going on about how i was lying and stuff so i said '10 more mins and im coming to get cha' and then '9 more mins and im coming to get cha' he legged it when i got to 7mins

Cruel but Fucking Funny.

Well since it is impossible to gauge every child or teen's level of maturity i think it should be up to the parents. Society just needs to encourage them to be parents and informed ones.
I think your asking a bit much with that. Considering ((what i belive is anyway)) 70% or more of parents these days cant even talk to theyer kids about sex, what makes you think theyer going to care enough to talk to them about video games, or even care about such a thing?

You can trust parents with this, really only as much as you can trust the kids with it. The kid can say, "Oh, when they say blood and gore, they mean like the kind in a PG-13 movie" ((not kidding, ive heard a kid say that before and the mother accually belive it)) and the parent wont have any clue if hes telling the truth or not. Because the truth is, most parents dont really care anymore.

Its something i really belive is an all or nothing situation, because you cant determine if a child is ready for that kind of content, or if a parent even cares if theyer child is exposed to that kind of stuff.

When I was watching my brother play Tekken 6, there was this one guy who had a baby with him while he was playing. I know this because he was "baby talking" to it. I thought it was rather cute than annoying though.

Then there was this one time I was playing GTA4 with my buds in Florida, and there was one kid who wouldn't stop talking to us despite him knowing we didn't have a mike. At least he was polite.

The REALLY annoying people are (AND NO THIS IS NOT RACIST AT ALL) the black guys on games who think they're the shit and run around saying shit that makes them seem like some type of over the top stereotype. Annoys the shit outta me. I'd rather have 15+ little kids screaming at me than one of those fuckers any day. >.<
I hear ya buddy. Some of them even blast rap music over the mike. One guy even tried to freestyle about the game we were playing. (Tekken 6)

So long as they keep silent or not be annoying in any way, I don't mind them. It's nearly guaranteed that if a game has a high age rating, there'll be a large number of whiney pre-teens who only want to teamkill or find glitches playing it. I came across about four last time I went on Left 4 Dead.

Trust me i know what kind of parents we have today. I know that many just don't care or at least don't care that much at this point, but i prefer to stay away from all or nothing scenarios. Even as i wrote that i knew it was unlikely, maybe impossible, but if the parents don't care then someone has to make them. It's allowing parents to not care that creates idiots and bullies in the first place. Stopping them from playing games isn't going to make them better people. If the parents are raising kids like this then they will just be awful someplace else.

Honestly i still don't think that your age can indicate you're maturity all the time. I mean the 10-13 year olds on xbox live don't really bother me. I find them funny if anything. I am in shock at how young they are and usually how high their voice is at first. I think "they really shouldn't be playing this game just based on the things they are saying", BUT what annoys me to no end is hearing people my own age(16). When i hear someone who sounds as if they are anywhere near my age group spouting some nonsense it kills me. I mute right away. People are the reason i don't like multiplayer games. Even though i am underage, i would probably enjoy multiplayer gaming more if minors didn't play. So i can see where you are coming from, in fact if i was a few years older i would probably feel the same way, despite the fact that i believe i am emotionally mature enough to handle any game on the market.
