Dang it! Ico isn't underappreciated. It's overappreciated if you ask me.AlphaWolf13 said:What about all those games (the non-popular ones) that were amazing, but seemed to pass by the public's eye? What games do you know of that deserve more praise then what they are given.
For example...
Ico
Okami
Etc...
Oh, and if this has been done before, sorry. I used the search feature and found one topic, that seemed to have more popular games then this. Also, it didn't seem as specific as this one.
Have you tried dosbox? Its pretty easy to find.plastic_window said:Magic Carpet 2. Unfortunately, you need to download an MS-DOS emulator to play it if you have a modern computer, which I don't have and can't find.
Sanitarium. It's probably more famous than I think it is, but I thought it was worth a mention anyway.
Yeah, that's what I was worried about >.<.end_boss said:Yeah, threads like these are ALWAYS made, and tend to always get the same answers, too. Like, people will say Shadow of the Colossus, even though it sold enough copies to make Greatest Hits. Then pretty much everybody will say Psychonauts, and then probably Grim Fandango. Ico and Okami are also regularly recurring mentions in these threads. There aren't many responses that people make that aren't cliche to some extent.
I used to loveeee Dark Cloud 2. That game was so much fun!Jonathan Hexley said:Dang it! Ico isn't underappreciated. But yeah, some games that are underappreciated...
Medievil 1 and 2
Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle
I'd quite like the idea of a sticky. I use it to see what kind of games I can play when I run out of other games. Very fun trying all sorts of different games this way too.Eyclonus said:Given that this type of virus...I mean thread is pretty much spawned every day, maybe we chould just make a sticky of it in this forum or just restrict this subject to User Review?
And yes a lot of the time the names are always the same even though so many were actually successful and widely distributed.
Holy shit, I'm glad I'm not the only one who loved that game.ZakuII said:Sacrifice, made by Shiny Entertainment back in 2000, PC.
