I've been playing R.E.5, and this guy:
http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-09/re5-chainsaw-majini.html
Is too tough for his own boots, that he is lacking!

first time I came across him:
6 rounds of buck shot15 rounds of 9mm parabellum2 frag grenadesAnd a incendrary grenade

now seriously! A guy wearing nothing but a potato sack for a helmet and no shoes, infected by a host or not, should go down after that sitting of ordinace!

Whats your stupidly overpowered enemy?

This fecker in the back here. Do you even know how long it took me to kill him the first time? Not particularly difficult as he doesn't deviate much in his attack patterns, he's just got ridiculous health and you'll generally get careless around the 20-minute mark out of sheer boredom. This was on the middle difficulty (3rd of 5), on the hardest difficulty I actually killed him faster, but it was still something of a slog.

Elizabeth Greene.
She's not that strong, but here health is just... wow.

ALSO... Does anyone else think the OP's chainsaw man picture looks a tad cell shaded?

I think the one I can remember is an enemy from Devil May Cry 4 who could only be hurt for a very small amount of time, had a massive amount of health and did ridiculously large amount of damage.

I hated them so much but luckily they didn't come in to the game till the last quarter

Bastard!

EDIT: Oh and every single Dark Aeon in FFX
They were so difficult to kill, most of them forced me to use Yojimbo
It got me very poor

I see your Yiazmat and raise you Ragu O Ragla of Wild Arms fame. Every incarnation of him has had ridiculously high HP to go with his incredible uber-boss powers, but his WA3 version takes the cake. 700,000 HP with shifting weaknesses. Even a strong character like Clive using Finest Arts with Valiant (a near-gamebreaking buff that increases your damage equal to the HP you are missing) at double-digit HP will only manage about 70,000. By comparison, no other boss in the game goes above 200,000 HP.

10 Valiant Finest Arts and he's dead, no problem right? But it doesn't end there. He comes back with 999,999 HP and increased defense and attack power. You cannot save between battles. Nor can you save while walking through the hundred-floor dungeon to get to him, which by itself takes at least 3 hours if you're well prepared. Beating him requires you either leave the system on or have an entire day to kill.

The sword wielding bosses in Saint's row 2 were really annoying. I could never work out how to counter their attacks. I just had to keep taking hits and hoping that they died before I did.

Hmmm well one of the problems is that giving computer controlled opponents "realistic" amounts of damage resistance usually turns the game into a joke, unless they are "witless minions" intended for you to slaughter purely for the spectacle of it.

In the case of Resident Evil though, keep in mind that despite it's transition into more of an action game, it's still supposed to be fairly horrific. The amount of damage guys like that can sustain is part of the terror. Think of him as like a maniac in a 'B' horror movie. There is no feasible reason that Jason (manifestation of a curse or not) should take as much to put down as he does, but look at what it took at the beginning of "Jason Goes To Hell" (I think that was the one), and that didn't actually kill him, just dealt with that body.

The final boss in DoA4. It can teleport at any time, even during combos. It can drain half of your health in one swift combo. And worst of all, the floors explode when you land on them causing even more damage. What a *****!

Argh...

Nemesis from RE: Nemesis. Part of the game is supposed to be ammo conservation (this was before the RE format shifted to a Night of the Living Dead shmup), and you eventually HAVE to fight him. If you happen to not have enough ammo, you're done.

What about the pandimonium warden in final fantasy 11? The people fighting him did so for 18 hours and STILL hadn't beat him, but had to quit because some of the guilds member were getting physically ill.

As I say to this every single time.

Yiazmat from FFXII. It has 50,112,254 HP.

Thing is when his HP goes below half way all attacks stop dealing maximum damage and then do a new lowered maximum of 6999. Or whatever 70% of your maximum damage output was.

When his HP is about at 9-10 bars left, he'll use Growing Threat to boost his damage output even further, and cast Reflectga on your party near 4-5 bars left, but it's a once per stage cast. If the you are not careful, a Renew spell could be reflected off your party, fully healing Yiazmat and that is VERY annoying.

The last time I fought him I timed it. It took [HEADING=3]14 hours 12 minutes and 47 seconds. [/HEADING]
I loved these fights in ffXII :)

Remillia motherfucking Scarlet from Perfect Cherry Blossom. She has SO MUCH GODDAMN HEALTH, and so many different attacks, all of which are different flavours of spam, and she can randomly turn invincible in the last stages of the fight.

And before anyone calls me out for not mentioning Flandre, she's easier - all there is to her is pattern recognition. Remillia just spams shit at you.

Um, not meaning to burst your bubble, but the final boss is pathetically easy. Just stand near him with your H.Blade equipped. Wait for him to attack. Counter him, and bam. Instant throat ventilation.

Really? I didn't know you could use your hidden blade in combat.
