Good old sharia law: Women are always to blame, because of original sin. Therefore, if a man does something bad, a women will always also be the direct cause.

Because of this, atheism and secularism makes the people less radicalized.
In that case...

I am prepared to fight and die for my cause, . . . I, as a natural selector, will eliminate all who I see unfit, disgraces of human race and failures of natural selection. No, the truth is that I am just an animal, a human, an individual, a dissident . . . . It?s time to put NATURAL SELECTION & SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST back on tracks!

...by your own logic atheism is an extremist philosphy and must be consigned to the wastes of history.
I dont understand what a mentally unstable neo-nazi has to do with this discussion but then again I dont understand how lack of superstisious beliefs is extremist.
My point, which you are in fact making for me Dele, is that extremists and idiots will do bad things no matter what their creed or religion. This guy was atheist, and used atheism and natural selection to justify his shooting spree. Does that make atheism culpable?

No.

The exact same applies to Islamic suicide bombers though.

Circumstances drive actions.
I claimed that there would be less extremists and idiots which is something you did not refute. I still fail to see how he was using atheism as I saw no reference to it.

Now don't be mistaken and assume I'm anti-thiest, I'm not.
I am. For a good reason too: This is the kind of retarded bullshit you get when your country is run by people that believe in magical invisible men in space that tell them how to do things...

Justice and logic have left the building...
pretty much my thoughts exactly

You know this happened 2 years ago now, I mean she's already had the punishment and is possibly dead now. Still I think we should let other cultures rule themselves how they want its none of your business unless you are actively being affected by it or live there
I would entirely agree, but we are to some extent, responsible for this. Due to Mid-East countries having large amounts of black gold underneath their sandy terrain, we have invaded the territory, bribed its rulers and politicians, supplied weapons and torture equipment, starved, and otherwise interfered with everyone who lives there.

For example, Iran used to have a stable democracy, with a peaceful government who wanted nothing more than to look after its own people. We destroyed that [http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2003/aug/20/foreignpolicy.iran]. Would this woman have been flogged in early 50s Iran? No chance. Today she would be hanged from a crane [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atefeh_Sahaaleh]. We really should be doing more to pick up the pieces of the mess we made that is the modern Middle East. Offering this woman, and others like her, safe haven within our own nations is the least we should do.
