Okay, seriously. Somebody explain to me why the Japanese have such massive hard-ons for boats that fly instead of sail and boys with swords almost as big or bigger than they are. DOES NOT COMPUTE.
I'm with you on the swords, but those airships were pretty cool. Of course, waiting for the dragons to land on board and then engaging them in melee-combat... not so cool. Couldn't they make a game where you just get to fight with the giant air ships, and screw the swords? Something like a Total war game in a standard JRPG world... I'd play that.
And I never played this game, but it seemed pretty obvious that the dragon's corpse was about to go ka-boom, and that the weird girl saved him from becomming a cinder. (Hey, another reason why fighting those things in melee, not to mention letting him land on your frigging airship that's keeping you in the air is a very bad idea.)
And yeah, I actually found what they were saying worse than how they were saying it. Or rather, what they weren't saying. Like explaining what to each other what they were doing. Instead we get the most forced transition between a cutscene of a somewhat epic battle to a quest of walking through a forest I've ever seen. Where, presumably, they'll encounter bats and rabits that are a match for the guy that killed a dragon and survived a multi-mile fall. All for a girl he didn't bother to ask if she WANTS to go to this town.
