While Kotick does have a good point, this is a little too far. If Activision did stop releasing games for Sony, it could be a critical hit with no Guitar Hero, or Call of Duty. I don't believe that they have the balls to go through with it though, the fanboys will go even more batshit insane over it than FF13 coming to 360.
And the metal gear 360 release.
Yeah its not like it's coming out on the PC and PS3 also. OH WAIT!! I mean seriously can you even name any 360 exclusives that this years E3? I don't see any 360 games in the future that I'm looking forward to cause their only 2 exclusives are some recycled halo games. Yeah and sonys the one in trouble.
Oh noes 1 person doesn't like MS's lineup. I bet you got them shaking in their boots right now. Also who cares if it is on the PC and the 360? Call it exclusive or don't. Whatever you call it the bottom line is Sony doesn't get them. And if these great games are on the PC as well great for the devs, great for PC gamers, sucks for Sony.
I don't care I thought people were bothered obviously I was wrong.

I think I said it once here bu I will say again.

SOny should have launched the PS with God of War 3, Final Fantasy 13 and Gran Turismo 5.

They should have launched the PS3 with a killer line up from the start. Not bring in the heavy guns 2-3 years late, when the damage is already done.
Wouldn't that have required WAITING 2-3 years for those to be created? either they would have been lackluster titles or the release date would have been 3 years behind.
In an IDEAL world it would have released with them

At the Update: Seriously your (i'm assuming sarcasticly) upset that they just respect how the third party feels instead of saying "Well go on do it!"
Maybe? The thing is. The PS3 got released with a HUGE price tag and no killer exclusives in sight for quite some time. Why did people complain about the PS3 some years ago?

Cause ther was NO BIG TITLE games to go with an overpriced console. Now the titles are coming but Sony has a financial hole the size of the moon.

ANd God of of War 3, Final Fantasy 13, Last Guadian and Gran Turismo 5(the ones that are called "Saviours of the PS3, the ones that will make the PS3 sell") are only getting released next year. Almost 4 years AFTER the PS3 got released. 4 years that Sony spent with a financial hole with the size of the moon.

Well, it's much less interesting to write about, that's for sure :p

One of my friends from work was just talking about this. He picked up an Xbox 360 and went walking toward the counter to check out, then he thought to read the box. When he said he found out that there was no wireless adapter, and that it would cost him an extra ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS, he was stunned.

Needless to say, he didn't buy it. He's now considering PS3.
So that means that any 360 besides the Arcade, plus the Wi-Fi adapter is just as expensive as a PS3 (I didn't know the Wi-Fi thing was $100, I was thinking it would be $20 since Wi-Fi routers aren't much more than that). After paying for Live, you have passed the PS3 in price.
I am farily certain most 360 owners get the Wi-Fi adapter because running and ethernet cord from your router/modem is not always practical and usually invovles holes in the floor and a lot of cable (if you can't do it yourself, installation costs are gonna be insane).

The price difference is now officialy nil. Thank you.
It inst in the UK 360 elite is £229.99 and the wireless adapter is £44.99 a ps3 is 299.99 buy itself.

Then, Sony actually did respond [http://www.vg247.com/2009/06/19/sony-on-kotick-ps3-drop-threat-we-respect-third-party-opinion-but-no-comment/], but it was much less interesting than Pachter had predicted: "We respect our third-parties' opinions and their right to express those opinions but we will not be commenting on this story."

Lame, Sony. And here I was looking for you guys to throw the gauntlet. I'm disappointed in you, because this is much less entertaining.

Less interesting? Really?
The fact that they aren't willing to comment kind of hints at a ps3 price drop. That's one good reason they wouldn't want to comment.

Well...people are still buying them, price cuts or not. Maybe they'll introduce price cuts when they bring in the new 'slim model'. Maybe then he'll stop being pathetic about it.

So far, I've seen the biggest fanboi on the site arguing with an editor, and the rest of the Sony fanbois trying to say that this is a Sony hatefest sponsored by Microsoft while only seeing a few posts of people essentially singing "sing, dong the witch is dead!"

Stop mucking up a new post with your damn fanboi crap.
And that post reaked of Fanboy crap... or was it stupidity. Eh close enough.

And no I still maintain that Activision doesn't make any games I give a damn about/ aren't made by blizzard therefore on the PC
Since I don't actually own or regularly play any of the consoles, I'm gonna go with a "not so much, no."

Most people I know will hook the 360 directly to a cable and leave the router near the 360 while using wireless for the PC and everything else in the house.

*the power to snip is stong in this one*
Well that was the problem I'm afraid.(I WAS NOT BASHING THE PS3 OR CALLING IT A PIECE OF CRAP HARDWARE!! Just so I don't get flamed for being fanboy of something)

Sony had to release the console. The problem was the big price and no killer title. No God of War, no Final Fantasy, no Team ICO game, no Gran Turismo, no Metal Gear Solid no nothing.

I am bothered. At the same time I can't feel sorry for Sony. I want Sony to do well. I want them to make me want to buy their console. Maybe this will finally be the wake up call for them to pull thier heads out of thier asses and listen to the market. It just seems to me Sony has been trying to ride the PS2 success and figure that as long as SONY is in the name it is guaranteed to sell.

I suppose it doesn't help that the net is filled with Sony fanboys who just stroke said egos. Ask them they will tell you Sony can do no wrong.

How much is the regular 360? That's what we were using for our comparison before. Is the regular 360 + wireless adapter more than the PS3 too? Because then constant callouts for the PS3 to cut their price would be ridiculous (though I feel they already are because the Elite is the console the 360 should've been, without the RROD and stuff).

Except to- ya know- be the bigger man in this situation "We wont resort to name calling or threats, if Activision doesn't like the way we do buisness and try to threaten us then we are sorry to see them go" but then they inevitably have people calling them pussies.

There is no WINNING for sony only various degrees of doing something and getting shouted at (Seriously I think someone will find a problem with the fact Sony uses the PS3 to aid in the cure for cancer)
You mean Sony is trying to AVOID a PR gaffe?!
That would be something.
