The Charmander gapes at the awesome Leer coming it's way and let's down it's defenses a bit, Davie is also somewhat taken aback by the display. "Th-thats one cool Treecko, but you can do better than that cant you? Give him another Scratch"
The Charmander is brought back to it's senses by the command and makes another run at it, hitting Newt with a more coordinated hit than last time and gouging at him with his claws.

"Oh yeah, I'm Matt by the way. And that little bundle of feathers is Rojo, got to say I didnt expect getting her at first but I cant help but like her" he said, indicating to the sleeping Torchic at his feet, occasionly making a peeping noise.
"Mug, use tackle on the Charmander!"
Mr Muggels complied and charged at the Charmander.
"Ha, take that you overrated lizard!"
She stuck her tongue and span, then gave the thumbs up to Mr Muggels.
"Well, pleased to meet you Matt." Said Gereald distractedly, Intent on picking up on what was going on in the pokemon battle, trying to figure out what he was supposed to do in one.
"Well come on Sal." Dusty said to his newly named squirtle. The squirtle, a certain swagger in his step and a sharp, toothy grin matched his new trainers stride and walked outside. Once they got out the doors, Sal saw Cecil and you couuld almost see hiis eyes bug out and his heart thudding out of his chest like an old cartoon. With the same swagger, Sal walked over to the female feraligater before leaning against a pole and almost immediately slipping, then with some angry squirt squirtles he got up, brushed himself and starte talking in pokespeak. "Wow, he's the charmer." said Dusty to himself as he sat on a bench and watched a double battle commence.
The Charmand was sent crashing to the ground, with the Mudkip on top of it. It was dazed for a bit before getting shakily back up to it's feet, it's tail flame flickering a bit. "Ah come on, dont give up on us now! Go and show them your still up to it with another Scratch!" Davie called out to the shaky salamander. The Charmander shook it's head to get itself back into order before raking it's claws over Muggles face.

"Huh, that Charmanders a real trooper out there. He'll make some kid happy when he get's picked... hopefuly" he said, as he stretched and yawned. "Huh, that Bulbasaur looks like it fell asleep over there" he noted to himself as he looked at Elms pokemon he chose for this fight.
Rojo made a little head-twitch in her sleep, dreaming about something
Muggles got scratched in the face and jumped back while letting out a small yelp.
"Muggels, use growl!"
Muggels began growling menecingly
"Grr grr grr! Show 'em Muggels!"
Alex narrowed his eyes. He slapped Chell on the back. "Don't worry! You'll get some action sooner or later... with me hopefully..." He smiled harmlessly.
Alex pulled out his duel disk clapped "Alright! Just what I said! I mean I didn't expect it so soon but still!"
He grinned evilly "Come on Cecily! Let's show them how we do this!"

"You want me to take 'em out boss?" A man of relatively large stature grunted from the shadows. He held a bolt action rifle in his hands and had a clear shot from the bushes at Elm, all he need was the order to fire and he'd be dead before his body hit the ground. He placed the scope up to his eye and took aim, he wondered where he should shoot. The crown to splatter all over the kids in front of him or should he attempt to take out someone with Elm? Either way he got a thrill out of harming others and couldn't wait for the coming operation.
"No, not yet."
"Wha-"
"There are too many pokemon trainers there, they could prove to be rather annoying. If you miss, one could run for help then the entire Op would be ruined. Wait until nightfall, then we strike." The boss of this small ammount of grunts was called Oni (devil), he is well known and respected amoungst the Team Rocket ranks as a cold blooded, heartless killer who spares no one. He was with the Old Rocket when they were under Giovanni's command, when they disbanded he became a ruthless mugger in Celadon City. When the New Rockets came to him with the new plans, he was over joyed to hear he could go back to killing and not mugging. He is consiterably shorter and less bulky than many of his men but he is not to be underestimated, he is skilled with a knife and is an excellent pokemon trainer; his pokemon of choice is his lifelong companion Houndoom.
"Well then what do we do about them?" The grunt with the rifle motioned to the two gagged and bound border gaurds. Oni gazed down at the two, their eyes wide in fear. Oni grinned and evil grin and his blood red eyes glowed in the shadows.
"I didn't have you carry those cement blocks here for nothing... throw them in the river. I want them to drown." He chuckled, two of the lesser grunts shivered in fear. They were glad he was on their side, he isn't the type of person you want against you.

Davies Charmander started shaking from the growl from the Mudkip, despite its brash attitude it was a bit of a coward. "Okay come one, lets try this again!" He said to the Charmander, who took this as a cue to attack Lulus pokemon... and miss completely. Muggles took that chance to attack with a tackle, knocking the Charmander to the ground and knocking it out. The Mudkip poked the Charmander with its front paw.
Matt glanced over at the fallen pokemon. "Charmander has collapsed and can no longer continue" he said in a sing-song voice.
"Heh... you'll do just fine" Davie said quietly as he returned the Charmander to its pokeball, meanwhile the battle between Treecko and Elms Bulbasaur was winding down as well. The Treecko was making easy work of the poor pokemon, who was only able to make an occaisonal strike back against its more agile oponent. And suddenly; it was over with Newt delivering a hard Pound right between the Bulbasaurs eyes, putting it down for the count.
"This fight is over, both Prof and aid are out of usable Pokemon. Lulu and Gar" Matt said, stepping in as the referee again and finishing the match

Once bringing the injured pokemon back in Davie came back out holding a box. "Ah, yes. Seeing you all with your pokemon, fighting or just bonding together, truly tells me that you will be wonderful trainers" Elm said, his eyes misting over with Nostalgia. Davie nudged him and he continued along. "Well then, as any true trainers wouldnt be without, you shall now recieve your Pokedexes" he said as Davie handed out a pokedex to each trainer, as is standard procedure in these things. Davie said his congratulations to each trainer as he handed them their own personal device.
"Huh... these are the new models, right Elm?" He asked the prof, who nodded in responce. "Well then, thanks for that" he said as he stuffed the device into a sidepouch of his Backpack for safe keeping.
"Yes, as Matthew pointed out these are the new models" Davie said, having given out one to the last trainer. "They have a few attachements I would have loved when I went out as a kid. Pokemon trackers, digital maps... heh, kids these days have no idea how good things can be."
"Well, what my rambling colleague here is saying is true. And this just about wraps things up from my perspective. Your all situated with your new pokemon and I wish you all the best of luck" Elm said with a warm smile as he turned around and walked back into his building, Davie taking a last glance around the trainers before following him inside.
"So, thats that then" Matt said as Rojo stirred from her slumber.
Chell took the Pokedex, "Oh so shiny, OOOOOOOOOOO~" she said transfixed by the shimery sparkles of the reflexive paint on the new Pokedex.
Steve stuck his arm firmly in front of himself and placed his head in his palm. "MuMunchMun Unch Lax" he grumbled shaking his head, at his partners antics. He grabbed it from her handsit popped open as he did

With the Shiny doohicky no longer in sight, Chell returned to 'normal.' she turned to Steve, "Hey Steve you know what time it is?!" She shouted thrusting he fist forward. Steve did the same thing as the but their hands together, Chell Shouted. "ADVENTURE TIME!" then a Banner dropped down in front of the two, it was being held aloft by one of the Professors Haunters. Chell had given them the Banner in and told them when to use it.
Alex grinned. "Thanks a lot, Professor!" He picked up the pokedex gently. "Awesome!"
He clapped and grinned wider. "Good going! We got it!" He took Cecily's hands in his own. "Cecily. Today is the first day of our journey. I will be in your care." The Big jaw pokemon smiled happily as he raised the Pokedex to check out what she had.

Alex raised an eyebrow "Not bite?" Cecily shrugged. "Ah whatever! Co'mere you!" He picked up the totodile and nuzzled it. She responded by making a funny purring noise.
Matt looked down at Rojo, who was now perking up considerably and started walking around again axiously. She seemed to want to get going "okay girl, thats fine" he said as he picked her up, and she emitted a soft trilling noise.
"Well then, with festivities over I think its about time for us to be going" he said, looking at the other trainers. "Will we be a group, or scatter around?" He asked them. It would be nice to have a group with me... but hey, if not then no skin off my nose
Alex snagged Chell by her shirt and dragged her over to Matt "Come on! Let's go with Matt! Safety in numbers. You never know when Team Rocket might show up." He laughed loudly at his own bad joke. Cecily faced palmed. "Totodiile..." She clamped onto his leg lightly. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH"
"Hey, watch it" shouted Chell as Alex grabbed her Jumpsuit. "Hey Alex, you need to buy me dinner first be for you start getting all grabby." Chell swatted his hands away, and walked over to Matt. "I'm all set Mattie" she said
"Dinner is all it takes? Awesome! Where would you like to go? If I get ya a present, can I get more than grabby." He turned "Matt, I'm ready as well." Cecily clamped down a little more. "OWWWW!!!!!" He yanked her off his leg. "Damn girl! Got some strong jaws on ya!" He patted her below the jaw.
Steve slammed his head into both palms, executing a DOUBLE FACEPLAM 2X COMBO
Chell punches, Alex in the shoulder, and walks away, sticking closer to Matt.
