The cave was dark and gloomy. It was also quite cold. Cecily shivered in Alex's arms. "We'll take this to Violet city."
Alex looked back at Chell. "Why? I think they're cute. Also can Cyndi light up the cavern? Just a little with the flames on her back? I mean. What could go wrong?"

Quickly crossing the remaining stretch of long grass and entering the cave, Gereld and Cindy moved closer together, both feeling some releif from there proximity to each other.Hearing Alex, Gereld glanced down at Cindy and said with a grin" Give it a try, might make this place less scary." breathing in deeply, Cindy lit her back up, exclaiming with a dramatic "Cyndaaaaaaa....Quil!" as she did so.

 

[Zirat]

The Cyndaquils flames gave off a bright light, illuminating the cave well enough for them to see. "Huh... thanks for that Gereld" Matt said, looking around their surroundings. Since it was just the opening it was mainly a straight shot deeper into the cave . He continued along that way and after a while there was no sign of a change in the location. "Alex, are you sure this is the right way to Violet city?" He asked "This doesnt seem to go anywhere..." but trailed off as he heard a rustling noise. He slowly looked up to see the entire roof of the cave was lined with Zubats. They were starting to rustle and move around at the light.
"Okay... nobody make a sound" Matt breathed, wide-eyed as he stared up at all of them

Alex looked up slowly. "Chell... we might be in trouble..." A bead of sweat rolled down his cheek. It fell off his chin and landed in a puddle he was standing in.

Alex looked down horrified. Cecily looked up anxiously.

Holy crap! thought Gereld, as he saw the multitude of Zubats, starting to rustle at the bright light form Cindy's back. "Maybe you should lower that light abit, huh?" He whispered to Cindy, who did so.

"Good call." Alex whispered to Gerald. "Let's keep moving. But quietly quietly..."

"Oh Gods, Steve Kill them now, use METRONOME." whispers Chell.
Steve waves his arms back and forth as his eyes start to glow bright white.

The munchlax opens his mouth and a song belts out of his mouth, random noise he picked up somewhere.
The loud noise over powered the sensitive hearing of a few of the Zubat knocking them out. The rest are now awake and extremely angry.

"ALEX HELP!" Chell screams as the angry Zubats swarm, her and Steve.

 

[Zirat]

Matt turned back as soon as he saw the fat little pokemon start doing the metronome dance. "Wait dont do it!" He said, but it was too late, he looked up and the ceiling exploded downwards at them. "Oh shi-" was all he had to say before a massive swarm of bats descended upon all of the trainers on their paniced way out of the cave.
Rojo started jumping up and Scratching at whatever few she could reach, knocking them away and to the ground.

 

[Vesuvius Hetlan]

"You ditz!" He shouted. "Cecily use scratch!" She pounced on the nearest Zubat, scratching it. Alex was then bitten by a rather large Zubat. He grabbed in in his hand "Oh no, you don't!" And pushed a pokeball against it's face. The Zubat disappeared into the ball and Alex held it shut with all his might.
It kept wiggling until it dinged shut.
Cecily pounced on another one and flung it away. She stood between Chell and a group of Zubats.
Alex shouted "Come on out, Rhodes!" and tossed the pokeball. A white light shot out and formed into a Zubat.
"Rhodes! Use supersonic on the Zubats!"
The Blue bat chittered a reply and send ultrasonic waves at his former friends.

 

[Zirat]

As Cecily stood between the stream of Zubats and Chell, it was obvious her scratches werent enough. So after a few slipped past her, she reared her head back at the incoming swarm and suddenly spat out a large stream at them, splitting the cloud of bats in two with her new Watergun as they continued on their frightened path as best they could. The Supersonivc not helping things as they all started chattering against eachother. A few of the bolder ones swooped down on Cindy and Gereld with a Leech Life, taking quick bites before continuing on their way.
Matt was still dealing with a number of his own bats, striking them away and stomping the few that fell to the ground, with Rojo joining in as she kept jumping and scratching as the swarms were starting to thin down. Matts hand was bleeding from a bite he got but he wasnt paying it any attention.

Chell managed to stop Flipping the Frak out, and shouted, "Steve Use Oder Sleuth and slow these batstards down."

Steve let loose a terrible smell which cause the Zubat's sonar to go haywire, making it harder for them to evade attacks.

Alex continued to yell "Great job Cecily, Keep it up! Rhodes! Use Leech life!"
"Zuuuuubatbatbatbatbaaaat!" Rhodes charged at one of the Zubats and clamped onto its neck. With a gulp he sent the other Zubat hurtling towards the ground and chose his next target.

As the few that bit Cindy and Gereld flew off, a few more came to attack Gereld and Cindy again, but this time, instead of just standing around like an idiot, Gereld screamed" Cindy, Tackle!" Encouraged by Gereld's command, Cindy smashed right into one, sending it hurtling backwards. the Zubats paused for a moment, before continuing to rush at them."Don't stop, Tackle again, Cindy!" Yelled Gereld in exasperation, swatting at as many as he could himself, but they're were alot of them, and slowly, Him and Cindy were forced near to Matt..

Rhodes Smashed into a Zubat attacking Cindy Back in the wild, they were Rivals, now it was time to even the score.
Rhodes quickly dodged the other Zubat's supersonic but was treated to a leech life. He chomped down on the other and slammed him into the ground. Sending a supersonic attack at it. It hit. He used the advantage to take off and bite down on his neck.
Alex shouted to the others "Come on this way! Or we'll all die!" He pointed to a dark cavern that slightly sloped down. "This way! Me Cecily and Rhodes will follow behind!"

 

[Zirat]

Matt ducked down to avoid anymore of the Zubats onslaught, and he looked over to see Gereld next to him as he pulled him down to his level. "Come on, Alex's found a way!" He shouted over the unholy din as he started to work his way to where Alex was, the Zubats at this point having turned on themselves and anything else that moved at that point.

Hearing Matt, Gereld and Cindy rushed torward the cavern, with Cindy tackeling as many of the Zubats that got in there way, Though a few still manged to bite her and Gereld, who was thourghly sick of Zubats now.

Chell and Steve beat feet away from the Zubat, following quickly behind the others. "Hey um sorry guys, I just panicked. she said her head hung in shame, feeling bad her rash actions got them all hurt.

Alex grabbed Chell and dragged her deeper into the cave. "Come on! Cecily! Water gun! Rhodes! Supersonic!" The Zubat and Totodile launched their respective attacks at the swarm of Zubats and they ran into the darkness following Matt, Gerald and Mike.

After they got deep enough Alex stopped in front of the group. He held up his arm and Rhodes hung under it. Chittering happily. Cecily walked beside him. "Is everyone ok? And Chell, Don't take it too hard. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have caught Rhodes!" The Zubat's chittering increased in speed.

"well okay thanks Alex I feel better now." she aid pecking him on the cheek.
"and Alex, I swear if that thing confuse me its dinner...got it." she whispered before walking away from Alex

"Good as I'll ever be..." Matt said, looking at the large bite he got on the back of his left hand. "Anyway, this turned out to be a great shortcut" he said somewhat bitterly. Looking around where they were now there was a number of holes in the ground and bottom of the walls, a light dripping could be heard and the chatter of the Zubats was all but gone.
"You probably managed to find us a passage to Kanto while we're at it...." he mumbled.
Rojo, meanwhile, saw Cecily display earlier with the Water Gun and was somewhat jealous, she tried to show her up by attempting ember, but only ended up spitting out a little bit of smoke and coughing.
