Beauty standards placed by society/media. I think pale skinny chicks with small breasts are pretty hot. Maybee even some freckles. I just hate the amount of makeup and bullshit girls make themselves wear.

Also reality tv. Its a plague on human intelligence.

Also crocs. Seriously? I hope you all step on something sharp.

And another thing that grinds my gears is our obsession with destroying our current food strucutre for 'healthy food'. I don't want to eat your soy and grains. Give me back my Krispy Kreme you stole from my town you bastards. I am dissapoint. No matter what you eat, you all die at 80ish anyways, so why not eat tasty food.

Not sure if it is a trend, but i'm always distraught by the enormous differences in general education between people. Maybe i've been reading too many youtube comments.
And the whole ''get through school as fast as possible by any means merely to get a job'' trend.

The fact that so many doctors (in Ontario, Canada at least) think that anyone seeking pain managment is a junky who's just looking for a fix. No you self-righteous bastard, what I am is someone with major phisical disabilities who would like to spend a day in a state other than never ending pain. Admittedly this is more personal that societal.

On a lesser note, I get a bit peeved by the use of low-hanging shorts as a fashion statement. Guys walk around acting like they're big shots, while they look like they just got pantsed.

Apologies to the guys out there who just couldn't afford shorts that really fit.

At the risk of sounding shallow, I'm going to pick a gaming issue (as it seems all the real world ones have been done already), and say that there seems to be a trend away from polished, well-tested games and towards yearly or shorter release schedules. So many games are shipped now that are barely better than betas (sometimes with their entire multiplayer components simply not functioning), and though there are a few patches, the state of the game when the studio stops making patches is what I think it should have been prior to the first patch.

For example, twice in a row when I tried to have Ezio jump into the Tiber river, he fell through it and instead landed in the infinite ocean hidden a mile under Rome. The next time I played, I was in a mission where certain "civilians" would be marked as enemies to be knocked out in a fistfight. One of these civilians went aggro on me when marked, as usual, but the script seems to have not executed properly because the game started telling me to go anonymous to continue, even though the only aggroed NPC in the area was the target whom I was supposed to fight. I ignored the warning and proceeded to knock the guy out, and upon doing so failed the mission.

Also, a major but optional story cutscene glitches in such a way that Desmond, instead of standing where he's supposed to, has a seizure on the Animus that then traps him in the Animus' geometry when the cutscene ends. Luckily, one can still get back to Ezio from here, but still, a major cutscene was left in this state? (Yes, this same glitch is experienced by quite a few more people than me. I get the impression that to reproduce it, all one has to do is play the game and solve the Truth puzzles)

This is not a finished product. It's not even a repaired product. This is a preliminary release candidate at best, but for some reason this is what we have after nearly a year and several patches.

This is where I've seen games going for the last decade, and it's already at the point where it is sometimes difficult to end a gaming session feeling anything other than frustration and disappointment. I would prefer to end them with a sense of "that was fun". That feeling becomes less common as the years go on, and I would like to see that trend reversed.

All this whining about feminazis and reverse racism.

I know, I know, us white males are treated so poorly and made fun of by every black comedian ever, it's such a fucking travesty, dude.

Honestly, I dont care. Pretty much everyone I (personally) know who has ever said anything about reverse racism, how radical/wrong/one-sided/discriminative feminism is, misandry or anything the like has been a white male in a good situation in life, either living at home with their parents, working a decent job, or studying something. Im pretty sure most of these have never been bullied or oppressed in any meaningful way by either anyone without a dick or with another skin colour. They just want something to whine about so they can feel smart and free-thinking.(I have no source for that) But they really have no idea what theyre talking about. (or at least that's how it seems) Most of them dont know what it's like to be oppressed, or to be the target of racism or prejudice. Or they've felt a little, and all of a sudden they're the biggest victims.

Now I know, I know, some of the points made by people like this are pretty justifiable. And I too feel we should strive for an equal society. It just really annoys me how "popular", in lack of a better word, this has become, especially among young white men, the kind who really know nothing about what it is like to be treated the way they think they are being treated. As it is now, a white male is in general the "best" thing you can be born as. ("That's just the feminazi propaganda showing just how brainwashed you are")

Disclaimer:
1. This is not aimed towards anyone who is actively bullied or looked-down upon in their community, no matter race, gender or species. If you actually, honestly are oppressed or treated differently and worse than others, this is not meant to fuck with you.
2. This applies equally to young women who go on and on about how men are bastards. Having an opinion like this into the extreme isn't good, no matter what it is. Same thing goes for anyone of a particular ethnicity going on and on. The reason I'm mainly annoyed with the kind I am, is because of the reasons I went on and on and fucking on about above.
3. WAKKA WAKKA WAKKA
4. Chill out, dudes. Also, arguing on the internet is useless. (So is this post) Have a sandwich instead. Make it yourself. You'll get a feeling of accomplishment.

ADDITIONAL RANTY-RANT-RANT ABOUT POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AND EVERYONE GOING ON WHINING ABOUT IT:
The reason we have such a thing as political correctness is because a society and a government must be able to discuss and deal with things objectively: Political correctness needed to become a thing because old laws and old traditions mostly only were about (white) men. But a just and equal justice or legal system can not exist if the law isn't written so it encompasses everyone. A law can say "any man with a car as high as a kite can ride the roller-coasters" and people would be trying to make a woman with a car as high as a kite stay off the roller-coasters, because the law said "any MAN". What you say in the privacy of your fecking home is your business. But in a multicultural environment and a world with so many different people, it's kind of important. Dont go on offending people. It's just unnecessary. Also, try to be understanding. (that applies to all of us) Third, watch MovieBoB's thingamabob about political correctness. Just to get his opinion.

Alright, shit. This was time I could have spent doing something fun. Oh well, it's good to vent now in a while. Take it easy, everyone.

EDIT: Seems people already made this point, and a lot clearer than I did. This pleases me.

Then there is the annoying habit of people throwing respect to the dead, regardless of whether they deserved it or not. I know that speaking ill of the dead is in poor taste, but glorifying them undeservedly is just as bad.
Oh lord yes! Living in Britain when Jade Goody died, people were painting her as some kind of saint. She wasn't, all she did was go on Big Brother, say something racist then whore out her personal image for money and attention.

Yet when I happened to mention that fact, apparently I'm "disrespecting the dead" and she should be worshipped because "she inspired lots of women to get checked out for cancer." I maintain that Jade didn't do that, as any celebrity who got diagnosed with cancer would "inspire" the exact same damn reaction.

OT: Elections increasingly just becoming popularity contests. Time was during an election you would vote for the person who had the best policies and the best stance on the raised issues. Nowadays "what policies do they have" takes a back seat to "how well can they spin those policies and appeal to my demographic." I understand the trend, it just annoys me. If someone is going to fix the economy, the fact that he takes time out to be photographed shaking hands with the poor and the downtrodden does not fucking interest me.

These are more trends in University rather than society, but they bother me all the same.

If you don't want to talk in class just type out what you thought of the class and email it: This is a current trend in many of my tutorials, both this year and last year, which I personally find bothering. I don't mind it if say someone who is not too familiar with the main language of the University they are attending and would rather express their thoughts and opinions in the language they're most comfortable with, that I can understand. My problem though is when people who can clearly speak the main language properly choose not to speak in class because they don't feel like it. I get that not everyone is okay with public speaking and that some people may by shy, but this is University, expressing your opinions is the entire point, and sooner or later you have to say something, at least if you try to talk now you'll be better equipped to express your ideas when the time comes.

If you don't stand for any political movement than you are either ignorant and/or a terrible person: look, I get that University is certainly a good place to meet other people who share your ideals, and I get that it may be a place to bring attention to important issues, but why must I choose to stand for a political movement? Why do I have to stand as either a supporter or an opposer, can't I just not care either way? Apparently no, because apparently these students want to know what my thoughts are on every subject, even subjects I either know nothing about or don't care enough about.

If you don't think Communism is super awesome or will totally work, than you're just selfish: apparently if you're a student or a professor who doesn't speak kindly of Communism, than your opinions are not worth a damn because they just aren't. Enough said really, and while it isn't that I think those who do think Communism is awesome have no worthy opinions, I see an inherent flaw in the idea of "All ideas should come together to form the most informed opinions" when certain ideas aren't even given the chance to speak, such as not liking Communism.

Those are annoying.
I suppose it's to be ironic, but what's the point of irony if you can't carry all your schoolbooks? It makes little sense to me, as someone who prefers practicality over looks when it comes to backpacks.
It's not just middle schoolers, there are people at my high school who have them, too. And yes, any girls with them have superhero backpacks and any boys have princess ones. *head desk*

Another thing that's going around that I bugs me is where people try to choke themselves to get a head rush and feel like they're high. I saw some people at my school trying it and really told them off, but if they want to practically kill themselves when drugs are easily available in this town anyways, they can go ahead.

Movie theater prices! Arg! Are you just trying to squeeze all the money you can out of us? No wonder movies are dying and everyone's waiting for the DVD/BluRay release.

People who think you're an idiot just because you're Republican.Actually, I'm more of a Centralist, but I tend to lean to the right on some issues. Yes, I support Free Healthcare, but I am no fan of Socialism, it just makes people lazy. I also think Immigrating should be made more easy, and we should place mines and snipers on the boarder saying in Spanish: "WARNING: MINEFIELD, ENFORCED BY SNIPERS, ILLEGAL TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT ON SIGHT."

Also, assholes who PM you trying to start an argument because they're too butthurt to admit defeat. >.>

Cannabis (Weed, Pot, over two hundred nickname possibilities, literally), it's sicking to see that 50% of America in recent polls wants to vote it legalized. It's not "harmless" like people claim. There is so much evidence that proves it's not harmless, and even if it doesn't kill as many as smoking doesn't mean it should be legalized. And no, it's not just you, as it can leave behind 2nd and 3rd hand smoke if a "joint" or stoned driving which can be just as bad as a drunk driver in reaction times. And their argument it's okay? "I did it and I'm still alive. It's obviously safe!"

Yeah, because that is how science works. No, evidence collected from Universities, Hospitals, and the like from Australia, New Zealand, UK, and the United States including others shows that it's not some harmless, wonder drug. At all.
