V.A.T.S Hit 'em in the...

Head? personally if im at a distance il go for legs first if they have a melee weapon, gun or arms first for shooters, close range with a shotgun its always the face, unless its just 1 enemy and im in a sadistic mood, im which case il pull out the 10mm pistol, shoot out theyre weapon, then a leg, then i will run away a bit before putting down a mine infront of me and watching the idiot stumble towards theyre death

how about you? any preferences in V.A.T.S shooting? or do you not bother with it and shoot area's by eye?

Always the head...unless it's got no chance of hitting, then it's a bullet to the gut.

No specific area, since I melee them to death all the time.

If possible I shoot a grenade. Love triple killing a bunch of raiders charging me by shooting a holstered grenade. I'll go for a headshot if my chance to hit is above 50% or a bodyshot if my headshot chance is low or i know I'll one hit the enemy anyway and of course if it's a mirelurk or a very powerful enemy i go for arms or legs.

Head. I almost always will have a good chance of hitting them. If not, then whichever arm is holding their weapon.

Head. If I go for V.A.T.S. Normally I pick sniper rifle and don't bother with it but when I do it's almost always head. If there's no change of hitting, I go for torso.

Depends on the weapon they are using and if I can outright kill them or not before the end of V.A.T.S.

If I don't have a chance to kill them, and they are using a rather nasty weapon, I'll try crippling their arm/s, or shooting the weapon out of their hands.

If I can't make that shot, or their weapon isn't that deadly, I'll just go for the head or the body.

Eyes. definitely the eyes. Of course , the best part about aiming for the eye is that even if you miss the eye, you still hit the head.

Plus because blinding that boxer in New Reno was the only way I could ever win that damn championship, even using the plated boxing gloves.

Normally the head, but I sometimes tell my followers to wait behind a rock or something and cripple their legs and give them a head start before setting Dogmeat on them.

I actually managed to miss when playing Fallout yesterday. Aimed at their head with VATS(probably shoulda gone for the legs >.<), cause it said 95%, and it flew right over their shoulder and exploded at the bottom of the hill behind them. D:

Personally though, I'll always go for the head, chest, or weapon.

Always, always the head. You get a faster kill, that way.

Otherwise, I aim for a leg or arm - whichever I have the greater chance of hitting. It seems to knock off more health than the torso, apparently.

Coupled with Grim Reaper's Sprint perk (completely restores all AP when you get a kill in VATS) I can just run into a room and take everyone out in like 5 seconds.

Oh god that guy was evil unless you were perfectly geared for it. Punching Deathclaws in the eyes was always a worthwhile pastime.
