He's hardly going to shit on it when they're wanting them to come back to Steam.

"Origin has over 4 million users. If its base continues to grow at this rate"

Any confirmation on whether EA accounts that were automatically converted are included in this? Because if so, that's what you call "bullshit".
Yeah, I apparently now have an origin account converted from my EA account and I'm forsworn against origin on principle, so they better not be including me in that figure! :)

That rate pricing scheme is not determined by Steam, it's determined by the publishers who sell through Steam. You can't blame that on Steam, poor price localization is a fault of the entire industry. Just like Gamestop doesn't determine the prices, neither does Steam. Now, EA determines the prices for their stuff on Origin, so if they aren't the best price around, then that is that. I have bought 2 EA games recently, and only when I got them cheap on Amazon. I have registered them with Origin, but I never have it running, unless I'm playing the BF3 Beta.... still not sure if I'm gonna buy it.
No, that unfair pricing scheme is not determined by the publishers, it's solely Valve's decision. Other, good download services like gog have only one world price in each of their titles. What you pay in the usa is what you pay in europe, in new zealand, and anywhere else in the world. Valve decided to put that $1=€1 policy because it was easier to them, and there's lots of annoyance because of ot. Valve is not the good dudes that want the best to their customers but the big bad publishers and suits won't let them. Dont be fooled that easily. Valve is a big bad publisher in suits. Who publishes portal/hl/l4d and all the other source mods? They have a lot of say into the prices of what they sell in their gated store, including third party games, DLC, game items and such.
Might I remind you that Steam have insane sales all the time. Sure you might have to wait for a game instead of buying it on day one (yes i'm european).

VALVe is way more active when it comes to fan and customer care. When was the last time you heard that John Riccitiello (EA's CEO) actively did anything for the gaming community. Things like meeting with fans who created mods, answering e-mails or taking the time to be in any type of interesting interview (like "All your history are belong to us"). No thats right, John Riccitiello gets interviewed by Fox News.....
The insane sales prices dont make up to the regular unfair $1=€1 pricing scheme imposed by Valve. There's thousands of postings made by people on their page protesting it, what has good ole pc gaming saviour and lord gabe done to fix it? Nothing. Yeah, the steam/valve fanboys here only mention and see the publicity stunts newell pulls like giving a 5 grand check to some modder, and inviting moddding teams to their hq, but they ignore when people get their steam games removed in their accounts, or when Valve charges unfairly in other regions, or when they sell a "pack" at a discount, and they dont tell you that if you buy it when you own several of the games included already, you're paying a full pack to get only the titles you don't have. If you skipped that, tough. If EA had done that, it'd be EA being assholes. But it's Valve, it was only an oversight. I dont like EA either, they're a big bad corporation, but Valve arent pc gaming's pals either.

Actually, you did complain about DRM.

In fact, you specifically said: "get a fucking console!!! no DRM or Origin there!", implying that you detest, or at least greatly dislike DRM.

You know, its not good for someone arguing on the internet to attempt to backtrack and say 'Oh, I didn't say that! What are you goofballs talking about?', WHEN EVERYTHING YOU'VE SAID IN THE ARGUMENT IS WRITTEN DOWN AND AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE TO READ.
the same logic can be applied to your "Did you never think that linking software into a specific hardware was just as bad, if not worse?", which i already did, but you denied that you implied, that PCs are better, due to the fact that you can pirate with almost no limitations, as opposed to consoles...

ahem, and i quote,:

"You know, its not good for someone arguing on the internet to attempt to backtrack and say 'Oh, I didn't say that! What are you goofballs talking about?', WHEN EVERYTHING YOU'VE SAID IN THE ARGUMENT IS WRITTEN DOWN AND AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE TO READ"
Sorry, what? I honestly can get no meaning out of your first paragraph at all.
