L4D music always fits with the gameplay.

one of my friends has the witch crying sound and music on his ipod and plays it whenever we are hanging out

After FF7:Advent Children came out with it's metal version of One Winged Angel from the game, I started looking more into the music side of video games. Right now I have all 3 albums from nobuo uematsu's band The Black Mages, The 3-disc OST from the .hack//GU games, on my MP3 player, along with a copy of a CD nintendo power sent out years ago with one of it's issues, that was a symphonic orchestra playing songs from Super Smash Bros. Melee (and effectively, a bunch of other nintendo games).

I enjoy most of the tracks by Daisuke Ishiwatari (Guilty Gear, Blazblue) along with all of the Castlevania songs

Wandering Ghosts and The Tragic Prince from Symphony of the Night are still my favorite songs today

Dang...Lucky you A few years ago, I'd been looking for that EVERYwhere. Haaa... nostalgia.
Anyway; to the point. Personal favorites include those of "Bioshock", "Portal", the "Halo" series (particularly "Halo 2" and "Halo Wars"), and a few tracks from both "Sonic Adventure 2" and the "Super Smash Bros." series. Admittedly, my - shall we say - experience with the genre is rather limited, but I'm rather eagerly looking to expand it. Thus: suggestions...?

I love video game music but I must say I feel that the ff themes are bit overrated.
Especially one winged angel.
They are good but not good enough to get the popularity that they have.
Though you may argue which is fine with me.
