Look, gamers, you can prance about with your signed paper all day, but there always will be people in the world who say otherwise. This isn't proving anything, same people in the arguments still have the same beliefs.
And this changes... What excactly? We have known this for years now, why should we care about the acknowledgement of idiots who don't even know what a controller is. It's not like movies were ever trying to win the acknowledgement of painters or writers or something, and by acting like we are now, we are in fact acknowledging the fact that videogames are lesser then all other arts.

That said, I do think it was stupid of him to dismiss video games as art just based on 3 videos in a presentation by one woman. Still, glad to see it's official now - it's been long enough. Now games are up there with every other entertainment medium, as they should be.
