So there's this guy on some radio show I listen to who, whenever anything that involves video games(or animation, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, or whatever remotely related), is mentioned, he always answers with...

"I don't watch/play/read that stuff... I like girls... I like sports... I like ESPN..."

Basically, everything else not sports related or involves real women to this guy is not manly... its all kids stuff...

People in my daily life are starting to say similar lines and its starting to piss me off...

So, Besides ignoring them (or turning the radio off), What is a good response to people who think that everthing you like is not "Manly"?

How would you respond to these "manly" people?

Well you can punch them in the face and out alpha them.

Or you can ignore them.

I agree with you, and i share the reaction. its either, turn it off/ignore it, or when i know that they are blatantly lying, i get to prove them wrong and get that satisfactory grin

Granted, I think that both of those arguments are bullshit, but I suspect that they wouldn't realize that.

I don't consider machoness to be a fault, but I would point out that more than a few video games feature manly pursuits (see every FPS ever.) If you can watch manly sports, then you can play manly video games.

Why did you quote my response to the OP? Anyways I was saying that the fault was the underlying insecurities of the person using "machoness" as an excuse for having a blind bias of how things have changed in the world and that I don't want to know the people who would support his mad claims.
