Tell them that only pussies try to compensate for how manly they are by repeatedly saying that they don't do un-manly stuff.
You, sir, are manly in the sense that you don't feel the need to prove it, get it?

So there's this guy on some radio show I listen to who, whenever anything that involves video games(or animation, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, or whatever remotely related), is mentioned, he always answers with...

"I don't watch/play/read that stuff... I like girls... I like sports... I like ESPN..."

Basically, everything else not sports related or involves real women to this guy is not manly... its all kids stuff...

People in my daily life are starting to say similar lines and its starting to piss me off...

So, Besides ignoring them (or turning the radio off), What is a good response to people who think that everthing you like is not "Manly"?

How would you respond to these "manly" people?
Well you can punch them in the face and out alpha them.

Or you can ignore them.

Tear off your shit, wipe out a knife (preferably big), and tell them to bring it. Then taught them for be a pussy if they back down. If they do bring it, kill them painfully then wear their skull as a trophy to show off just how "manly" you are.

If they are arrogant enough to say that to someone's face about what they enjoy, then they aren't worth responding to. Don't waste your time with people like that.

I know more girls who are hostile towards sports than videogames. What the hell is ESPN anyway?

"Go away, you're opinion's not valid here!"

But yes, ignoring them is often. But since most of the population of my school plays MW2/Reach and the rest (girls) don't talk about it, I'm fine with it.

I agree with you, and i share the reaction. its either, turn it off/ignore it, or when i know that they are blatantly lying, i get to prove them wrong and get that satisfactory grin

Punch him in the face and say "That manly enough for you?"

Not all Gamers are weak you know.
Or I could just simply say playing Sports doesn't mean you're manly, it just means you prefer to spend your time doing something else.

What about lumberjacking? It doesn't usually involve women or sports, and yet they can yield the funniest and awesome-est (AND MANLIEST) beards ever.

"Haven't you seen all the backlash against video-games? California is trying to ban them for children, Australia practically has. And you say they're for kids."

Or, "So you like to watch big, sweaty men handle big balls, do you?"

Granted, I think that both of those arguments are bullshit, but I suspect that they wouldn't realize that.

I have no response to give you, but you don't need one.

There's no need for wasting words on the stupid. The ignorant, sure- they can be taught. But not the stupid.

Said person has either adopted a stupid personality for the equally stupid average listeners and/or has a tiny metaphorical penis, either way it has proven that it has the social skills of an undead newt.
I don't consider machoness to be a fault, but I would point out that more than a few video games feature manly pursuits (see every FPS ever.) If you can watch manly sports, then you can play manly video games.
Why did you quote my response to the OP? Anyways I was saying that the fault was the underlying insecurities of the person using "machoness" as an excuse for having a blind bias of how things have changed in the world and that I don't want to know the people who would support his mad claims.

Edit: Changed my earlier post to be clearer.
