Some games have things that always seems to put you off from playing them in the future, recently i have stopped playing mass effect 2, mainly because of the health regen system, just because of the health regen system, i have been put off from many games, like GOW and Halo.

So what do you think is the most annoying feature of any game?

"Niko, my cousin!"
"No bowling for me today Roman."
"Okay, maybe later."

Probably having to watch the same cutscene again and again because it is in between the loading point and a really hard bit.

I don't really consider it a feature (some might) but one of the most annoying things in games for me is the inclusion of the obligatory driving level in a game that isn't about driving.

It's usually not done well and is dull, or even worse, makes a section of the game extremely difficult to get past because of how lousy the driving mechanics are.

If I'm playing a FPS please don't throw me into a vehicle! I'd much rather have another level of shooting!

in any JRPG there's that one character that's only 11 years old and whines about everything in a voice that could shatter glass.

i hate them.

The Origin stories in Dragon Age: Origins. They're just so damn boring to play through.

Health regen in God of War? I don't recall this, except upon multiple deaths in the same spot.

Annoying features though:
Could it be annoying by omission?
Like any FPS - they should allow a third person mode so you can actually see what the hell is going on around you, instead of walking around with no peripheral vision. Yeah that's my vote.
agreed. my vote with all possible thumbs up

Unskippable cutscenes.
If I just spent 15 minutes whittling down a boss' HP with a sliver of health remaining only to get killed by a rogue dust particle in the air that hit me in the eye and killed me, I don't want to have to sit there and watch the previous cutscene every single fucking time.

Protect/escort missions.
I can't stand them. I'm horrible at them, and unless the person I am escorting has some form of protecting themselves, then they should just stay where I found them until I've killed every single thing between here and where I'll need to go.

Half-arsed multiplayer.
Dark Sector is one game I can think of that's guilty of this. Not sure about the PS3 version, so I'll skip that and split-screen has been done on a few PC games, but it's uncommon.

On the Xbox 360 version, the only form of multiplayer you have is Xbox Live. No system link, no split-screen. However, on the PC version, the only form of multiplayer is a LAN option. No online, no split-screen.

Does not compute.

Any lack of convenience. Like in the Borderlands DLCs, why can't you fast travel?

And no save points please. You should be able to save anywhere and anytime you please, like in Fallout 3 or Zelda.

-Borderland's Press X to pick up item. Hold X to use that item right now. When your fighting monsters and looting at the same time Press and Hold turn into the same thing.
- Unskippable cutscenes.
- Miss a shot start the mission over.
- Stupid Quicktime events. Press X to make cake.
- That one annoying character you cant kill and drives you nuts.
