Doesn't it just make you want to go crazy?

I think the worst part of this is that the audience agree with the manipulated statistics used by the 2 people that support the fact that video game support "video games promote hatred, violence and sexism."

I vote we kill that ignorant, self-righteous woman in the middle in classic video game style, just to revel in the irony.

I realise this has been done about a bajillion times, I just needed somewhere to vent my anger.

What?!

I'm very offended by this. When I punch women in the street, it's for totally different reasons than videogames.

Ahem.

I find it deeply ironic that she did voice acting for a few videogames once.

Anyway, she's obviously a deeply reactionist person. She'd be saying the same about films in 1901.
It wouldn't be as bad if she didn't make clearly uninformed opinions about games and bleet them out as fact. Like when she talked about the civillian shootout in Modern Warfare 2, she didn't evne know it was optional and then decided to take the moral high ground by denouncing the use of violence as entertainment as though all video games follow that formula.

Videogames don't do that. Neo-Nazis and the Black Panthers do that. I'm guessing this genius would think that Donkey Kong influenced domestic abuse. Aye. I'm getting tired of people like this guy. Leave our beloved medium alone!

"I'm against violence for entertainment." The stupid twit in the middle actually said that. After defending a couple certain movies (Inglorious), because they're up for oscars. Or did my building anger cause some mild deafness?

Movies, books, cartoons, anime, manga, comics, video games, music, machinima and more all use that formula. Who gives a flying pig crap?
Apparently the people on the Alan Titchmarsh show, and many other people in the media giving games and anything else with mature content a bad name because EETS BAD FUR TEH CHEELDREN LOL

Another amusing thing. You know that statistic she quotes at the start, an Iowa university study (I think, I haven't watched it for a while)?

Completely false. She made that up. They checked, and Iowa university has never conducted a study like that.
God I love people like her so very, very much.

Psst, Sexist?

Princess peach is sexist: http://www.gamespy.com/articles/100/1005645p1.html

Quote:

"Right now I'm going to talk to the Princess directly.

You know what you do when you go-kart with Bowser? You make Detective Stabler cry.

Every night he's out there catching perps who force women to do horrible things they don't want -- even sacrificing his marriage to do so -- and you laugh in his face by inviting King Koopa to join you for a friendly game of soccer."

All human endeavors promote anger, hatred, violence, and sexism. They all also promote understanding, love, and happiness. This is an unfortunate side effect of being human. Deal with it.

Racism? Seriously? Maybe if you're playing Resident Evil 5, but really?

Hasn't their been studies to show that there ISN'T such a connection between video games and aggression?

And yes, that woman is annoying as hell. "Oh, I'm just so morally superior to you and your primitive caveman violence! You should be ashamed of yourself! Now watch as our audience full of housewives and senior citizens applauds my superiority."
