Its not that big of a deal.

and its hardly sacred. you get tight again, and really the only defining thing about your virginity is that you bleed the first time. For guys... hell, those wet dreams they have are them losing their virginity, so you may as well lose it to someone REAL.

You could sell it. Why you would I have no idea, cause either you dont wantto meet the guy that wants to pay top dollar for your virginity or its not worth nearly as much as you seem to think it is.

Promise rings are a waste of the material used to make them, and should all be gathered together so you can strangle the guy that thought of them.

I think you should wait, just cause it is your virginity and its been hyped up, but really it should be with someone you have a mutual repsect for. If for nothing else just so you both enjoy it to the fullest potential. I mean, if you only have sex once, or you have GOOD sex once, might as well be the first time.

I believe it is a big deal, something sacred, and shouldn't be thrown away lightly.
If you wish to sell it, just make sure you get your money's worth cause it's something that can only be sold once.
Promise rings aren't for everyone, but between the right two people can be something very special.
I think you should wait for love, if not marriage. The thing about throwing it away too soon is that makes sex (love-making) something not as special between you and your partner. And if you wait for your loved one to come along, you won't ever be comparing them with anyone else. Say sex is only "good" between you two. You don't want to spend the rest of your life remembering the person it was "great" with. And especially not having that come between you and the one you truly love.

I lucked out; though I've had other partners, the best by far has been with the one I love. I would never have issue only having sex with her from here on out. Look forward to it.

Not a big deal in that you shouldn't do the whole 'Oh noes I'm a virgin waa!' thing, but perhaps slightly sacred in a 'wait for the right person/time' kind of way. Someone you're at least going to be with for a little while afterwards, not just a one night stand.
Anything can be sold, though that has no bearing on whether or not it should be. I'm against the selling of people in any way, shape or form.
Promise rings, as many other people here have suggested, are bullshit. If you're agreeing to have sex with someone in the future, and not to have sex with anyone else in the meantime, just get on with it. Less pressure for everyone.

It's way too big of an issue. Losing your virginity is nothing special at all and people waiting for no other reason than wanting to wait are only setting themselves up for even more disappointment. Sex is great and you'll enjoy it even more if you're good at it.

Whats your view on virginity: I only lost mine when I was 19, I had gone pretty far with girls before that, but never did I technically lose my virginity until I was 19. To me it's nothing really, whether you have it or not.

I honestly don't know why a guy would buy that, virgin's aren't even that good at having sex (no offence, but you don't throw a football that well with your first few throws). Sell it if you want, I can't see why someone would buy it.

I hate to see promise rings in a religious sense, because the church usually lies about sex and consequences with it and such (like when they condemn condoms, seriously, promote your promise rings but don't condemn condoms, especially in Africa and stuff...). Kind of pointless to me, but if they're you're thing that you want to live by, then all the power to you.

With my first girlfriend I had, when I was maybe 14, we almost had sex but we didn't, we always kept it to foreplay, and I think that's just because we both knew we were young and experimenting with growing up and stuff. I don't really go looking for a girl to have sex with, but I let it happen when I'm dating a girl.

They're not pointless, they definitely have a point to the people who have them. Not for me, but it certainly shows some self control and discipline to maintain that promise.

You should wait until you truly trust someone. If that means waiting until marriage then so be it.

Use protection, only lose it to someone you trust, and have fun. Do not have sex because you have been pressured to, only do it because you want to give yourself to the other person.

It's not really a big deal. People should lose it whenever and with whomever (of legal age) they choose. In my view, you definitely shouldn't wait until marriage (especially if like me you're gay and you live in a country where same-sex marriage is illegal), and you probably shouldn't even wait for love first. That's just my opinion though. It would take me a while to fall in love, and frankly, I'd want to know how sexually compatible I was with a guy before I'd take it the relationship to the level where we might be falling in love with each other.
