Darksiders 2 final boss was this, I was sitting there waiting for the cutscene to end and get to phase 2 of the boss..... then the credits starting rolling. Worst thing was I didn't really think I was overpowered or anything I barely made it through the previous boss and the boss before him killed me a few times but I destroyed the final boss like he was nothing
So much this, it was over so quickly, and just like you said, there was a battle right before that was so much more difficult.

OT: Unless you count the Warthog part of the last level in Halo 3 as the final boss, the last fight is pretty lame for a trilogy like Halo. Shooting a floating ball a few times with a Spartan Laser isn't very rewarding. :/

Also the final boss of Halo 4. That was a complete joke.
Should have been the first post. What the fuck were they thinking with this rubbish?
I can't even remember Halo 4 having any bosses at all. Halo in general should just take the award for bad boss fights, especially Halo 3 for its final boss with a hoverbot.

Remember that time Killer Croc goaded, threatened and, taunted Batman? Batman had to go to Croc's lair to destroy some spore-sacks and while there could have been a killer showdown...there wasn't...instead Batman just bopped Croc on the head every few minutes in between slowly walking. Not really a boss fight in hindsight...

I loved how Alice: Madness Returns kept teasing bosses only to sweep them away with a cutscene...I swear, the Mad Hatter or someone was in a giant-fucking-mech suit at one point.

I'm not sure if this counts as a boss or not, but every dragon in Skyrim I've met so far.
I found dragon battles near the start of Skyrim a lot more exciting; they were new, I was weak, and it made me think about how to tackle it. By the time I fought the last one in the valhalla place I pretty much just shouted at it to land it then peppered it with arrows, without even requiring much healing or attempt at evading. Seemed like such an anti-climax.

That.. thing.. at the end of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It was a neat concept, but it was also extremely easy.
Got to agree with this one!

I otherwise found great satisfaction in beating the 3(?) bosses in that game, they were pretty hard, you had to use the surroundings and a big part of your arsenal of weapons and gadgets to get it done.

The idea of the supercomputer was a neat one, but didn't feel like a final boss fight when the "small bosses" had been such great challenges.

Mundus in DmC: Devil May Cry. Snooze. There were really only two bosses that were memorable in that game, giant floaty head dude and the fetus thing. Even they weren't very challenging.

Oogie boogie in Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. For a game with some terrific and challenging boss fights, he was absolutely boring. Didn't even hit me once.

Every boss.
Really? I remember getting my ass handed to me by an optional desert boss. Been quite a while since I had played that though.
OT: Most final bosses in the Disgaea series but that's my fault for grinding so much.

Knights of the Old Republic: Darth Malak. You can either let him run and suck the life out of the Stasis Jedi, prolonging the fight by up to ten minutes, or you can ignore Malak, run around and suck their life out yourself before he can, and then finish him off with one or two Force Speed buffed Flurries.
It's actually possible to come up with builds that can't affect the stasis jedi at all.

I've known people be unable to complete the game because their build is suddenly "wrong" for the final boss despite it having worked for everything else.

(I had a build with no powers that could affect them but I was a combat monster so I did just smash his health down ten times. Bearing in mind I was strong enough to bring him under his threshold to activate force cutscene powers in a single round of combat).

Darth Malak. I just beat him to death and it didn't even take very long.
The very last fight of Dragon's Dogma. Controls were a bigger problem than the boss.
Last example I encountered was the Leviathan in the Borderlands 2 DLC with the pirates. Giant monster really should try to just crush you. This guy hardly moved (there are other examples like the ME2 boss, but the Leviathan is the worst I can think of.

The final fight with the club dude and Mathias in Tomb Raider.

It was a huge comedown after that incredibly badass fight with all the Stormguard at the gate of the palace. After how satisfying the combat has been up to that point, I expected so much more.

Desann, the final boss of Jedi Outcast, can be either very difficult or laughably easy depending on the circumstances.

Hard mode: fight him one-on-one in a lightsaber duel. Desann's abilities completely overpower your own, with unblockable saber attacks and Force powers. He also has a metric butt-ton of HP to boot. You end up spending most of your time running away to heal between swipes, occasionally returning to shave off a miniscule amount of health. Rinse and repeat until dead.

Easy mode: lure him over to a pillar and throw your saber at it, causing it to fall and smash him like a cockroach. Boom. Insta-kill. You are true Super Sand Jedi Master.

To be fair, the easy way isn't an obvious solution. You have to think outside the box (or look it up on GameFAQs).
Actually there's an even easier way to beat him by just hitting Force Speed because for some reason Desann almost never uses force speed so you can just activate it and stab him to death in a few seconds before he can hurt you. Tavion was a harder boss than him because she wouldn't fall for Force Speed.

The only time I didn't immediately wreck his/its faces was the time I went with a build where I used nothing but the basic Longsword. And even then, it was hardly hectic or challenging. S'no Ornstein and Smough, I'll tell ya that much.

Can't regard Earthworm Jim and not go unnoticed.

OT: The final boss of the Playstation 2(Maybe PS3, I dunno) version of Kingdom Hearts: Rechain of Memories. On the GBA version, the final boss was suitably difficult, he was time consuming, but that was okay, because it was a final battle. On PS2, He never hit me. I literally spent all of about seven or eight minutes and beat the fight. That's so stupid that a port to another system renders the final boss absolutely useless, but I did it. It's making me wait until Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out to care about KH, but at least it told me that spinoffs of this particular series aren't really important to play.

Also:
Emperor Doviculous in Brutal Legend. Perhaps it was made easier by the fact I collected all the dragon statues which built my stats up considerably by the time I got to that fight, but on the Hard difficulty, I never died from him.

If this hasnt been said, then gears of war final bosses...especially GOW2. Looks big and mean. Tick! Sounds big and mean. Tick! Beautifully rendered ugliness. Tick! A couple of shots from the hammer of dawn whilst rubbing against any surface you find and thats it. End of game. I had to finish myself off in the cupboard cos the bathroom wasin use!
Though tbh im so bored of the GOW repeatative gameplay now, that even if they did boast complex, challenging boss fights, i couldnt put myself through another just to try it

Surprised I haven't seen this yet but the queen alien in Aliens: Colonial Marines

We all remember the queen as this big monstrosity that requires a lot of power to kill (power loader, human/alien hybrid things) but the experience my friends and I had went like this:

Queen alien enters hangar
Friend A runs in a crate
Queen alien tries to get him inside crate
Friend B and I run around pushing the buttons
Queen still trying to grab Friend A as he sits there laughing
Queen decides to chase Friend B to another crate
I push a button and we win as the queen alien is not pushed into space at all

Yup you beat the queen by pushing buttons... They didn't even use the games power loaders to keep its attention or anything.
I could have even put the other boss fight in here since you are stalked by this thing for ages and then beat it with a slap fight from the power loader as it stands there taking it.

I know they fucked up that game in the first place but dear god it was a terrible boss fight.

The 4th boss in Rogue Legacy...he's not exactly easy, but he doesn't quite live up to the brutally murderous difficulty that the other bosses had. It was basically a giant slime that split into two smaller ones when it died, then that one split into two smaller ones until they got too small and died, you know the kind. Though, it did spice things up a bit by spawning another enemy that floated around and attacked me with magic every time that one of the slimes died, but the thing about Rouge Legacy is that there is equipment that gives you back health every time that you kill an enemy, and all of these new enemies were a teeming farm of health that kept me going. In the end, it only took me a few tries to kill this one.

Nyx Avatar from Persona 3. Don't get me wrong, I loved the ending of the game, and the music during the fight was spectacular, but the boss was much easier than it had been hyped up to be. I beat it on my second try, and the only reason I died the first time was because it got three critical hits in a row.

Pretty much every single boss in Okami. My biggest problem with the game was definitely how pathetically easy it was. Most them were more time-consuming than actually difficult.

At least we got footage of the longest Pinwheel fight in recorded history.

OT:
Metroid Prime 3's final boss.
You had one final amazing showdown with Dark Samus, your rival, the one that's been slowly killing you and your friends, and when you think it would be the real final battle since its constantly put you at the edge of your seat...
