Sethiroth from Kingdom Hearts 2...

This was at a time where I could not STAND facing Sethiroth without lasting less than his first "Sin Harvest" attack in the first game... and then I go a face him in the second game, knowing that I'll never beat him... and I beat him first try...

Wait... What just happened? I know I was barely trying (and this was on Proud Mode after giving up trying to 100% this game), but this didn't seem as limiting as it was in the first game... And, yes, this was before finding out about the "legit" way of beating him without him making another attack after the "press triangle to begin" attack...

Did I get "lucky"? ...I don't doubt it... Was I able to beat him again to prove it wasn't just out of luck? Yes... and the more I did, the more the battle disappointed me, in comparison to the battle in the first game...

(And, yes... Beating Sethiroth in KH1 for the first time was more satisfying than beating him in KH2 for the first time... and both of those times were on the highest difficulty in the US releases...)
I'm with you on that I found most of Kingdom Hearts 2 overly easy compared to the first especially the Sethiroth fight.

Though the whole game is pretty bland the final fight of Sly: thieves in time is a particular low point of the whole game as it is nothing more then one long QTE.

Every boss.
Really? I remember getting my ass handed to me by an optional desert boss. Been quite a while since I had played that though.
That boss is the purposely made Super-Boss of the game, so I can understand why that one is a pain in the ass. Hell I still can't beat that boss.

OT: Well the obvious Fable 2 boss was taken, so I gotta go with Mara from the Shin Megami Tensei series. Way too easy, and because of Mara the games get that rated-M rating.
Another one were some of the bosses in Kingdom Hearts 2, mainly the Sephiroth battle because it is so easy when compared to the first one.

Every boss battle in Arkham Origins excluding Bane. DeathStroke was hyped up so much in this and you just beat him in the first quarter of the game.

Belial in Devil Survivor, he is hyped up as fuck, he is the reason you will die they said, he is gonna kick your ass they said...not if like 2 Ice Dances have anything to say about it.
He actually gave me one of the most intense boss battles I've ever had. It all came down to just Yuzu slapping him until he died after whittling him down.

To be honest, almost every game I've played in the past 5 years has felt like it was holding my hand the entire time, including the boss fights. Particular ones that come to mind right now because I've played them this year are; Deadspace 1 and Borderlands 1, both bosses in those games were ridiculously easy.

I miss playing Ragnarok Online and trying to take down MvPs with our 3-man Knight, Priest, Blacksmith team. Melee in that game against the bosses was almost universally a terrible idea, but the huge challenge of it kept us trying. I had a blast with that game.

The final boss of Bullet witch, AKA Missed opportunities: The Game.

Stage one - it stands there with a shield occasionally throwing an attack to be dodged at you.

You pour bullets into it. You pour pullets into it. You pour Bullets into it. You pour Bullets into it. You pour bullets into it. Occasionally it drops its shield and you change what bullets you pour into it.

Stage 2 - it walks back and forth and you have to dodge the same occasional attacks, and its three snake heads from one arm which are one-hit kills if they grab you.

You pour Bullets into the snake heads. You pour Bullets into the snake heads. You pour Bullets into the snake heads. You pour Bullets into the snake heads. You pour Bullets into the snake heads. The snake heads die, and it keeps walking back and forth.

You pour bullets into it. You pour bullets into it. You pour bullets into it. You pour bullets into it. You pour bullets into it. The game says you can now use your final super awesome spell attack to kill it. You do. You kill it. You get a crappy cutscene and the chance to play the game all over again on the next highest difficulty.

Final Fantasy X.
The very final fight against Yu Yevon's true form. Aesthetic wise, it's very silly. It turns out that the near omnipotent deity who's kept the world on it's knees for a millennium is a floating bug. Not a particularly interesting looking bug at that. It really seemed like the kinda design that was thrown together at the last minute.
But who cares how it looks. So long as it's still a good fight it shouldn't matter, right? Well, that's the worst part. For reasons left unsaid, your entire party is granted the Auto-Life ability, which literally means you can't die (if your health reduces to 0, Auto-Life kicks in and restores you to full health). Well, not literally literally. It is possible to lose the fight, but it requires careful strategy. Yes, strategy to lose to the final boss.

I'm... genuinely surprised that I'm the first person to mention this after nearly two full pages.

Every boss in the new DMC. It was always just hit them a few times then follow scripted sequence to kill.
I thought Vergil was okay. I preferred the Vergil's Downfall version of the fight until I realized you can essentially just dodge-cancel him to death once you've got him in the air.

Mind you, I'm a DMC noob, the only other game in the series I've played for more than 5 minutes was the first. Which I wasn't very good at.

This may sound like a weird choice given the game in question has no combat, but Outlast had probably one of the more disappointing final bosses in recent memory. All that buildup just to be confronted with [////SPOILER WARNING////] some nondescript smoke monster who chases you with all the gusto of... something without much gusto, I guess. I can't think of a way to finish that sentence. Outlast is kind of a stupid game but I was hoping at least for something imaginatively grotesque.

World of Warcraft has the problem of some bosses being fucking impossible (C'thun pre-patch, Yogg-Saron, The Lich King, Kel'thuzad) and some being really fucking easy (Deathbringer Saurfang, Shade of Akama, Deathwing etc.)

All you need to beat that boss is Cat Nip, it works with every boss.
Except Trema because... Trema.
But Shuyin is a pathetic boss, I had more trouble fighting some of the Fiends before the boss then I did with him.

Halo 4: The big epic baddie of the story is killed... with a single quicktime event. As far as disappointing, I think that pretty much tops the list. At least the other halo's had some type of finale event like the warthog sequences in 1 and 3, and lone wolf in Reach.

You could technically consider Vyrthur a mid-boss, or Elder Scrolls in general. But that railing was very attractive for a particular shout...

I know it's already been said but Halo 4.........dear god what were the developers thinking? In fact, why were there quick time events even in that game?

Also Bioshock. It was a great final fight and all, but it was just SO easy even on the highest difficulty. If they'd just boosted his health it would've been fine.

All these posts and no one mentioned ME3? Son, I am disappoint. Also, agree with DE:HR. There is also; Borderlands (1), RE6 (the final goo boss in the hidden campaign), Dishonored, and many others.
Wait, which Dishonored boss are you talking about? Cause if you mean Granny Rags then I completely agree.

Fable 2. All that build up and character building and then "Press the button guy. You win! Yay!"

Eh, that pissed me off even when I was young.

OT: The final boss of the Playstation 2(Maybe PS3, I dunno) version of Kingdom Hearts: Rechain of Memories. On the GBA version, the final boss was suitably difficult, he was time consuming, but that was okay, because it was a final battle. On PS2, He never hit me. I literally spent all of about seven or eight minutes and beat the fight. That's so stupid that a port to another system renders the final boss absolutely useless, but I did it. It's making me wait until Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out to care about KH, but at least it told me that spinoffs of this particular series aren't really important to play.
Are you talking about Sora's final boss or Riku's? Marluxia gave me some trouble since you had to build a deck for two different battles and once I managed that I felt pretty proud.

Riku's boss was more challenging since you couldn't build your own deck with him. That was a classic boss fight (IMO) where you're frantically dodging and trying to lay down damage while cancelling his cards. The type of boss fight where you punch the air when you beat it and then realise your controller is all sweaty from being gripped too tight.

I've completed most of the bosses from Link Between Worlds, and while they're typically fun, they're also pretty easy. Only one of the bosses required me to use a fairy, and for a couple I only took damage once or twice. Typically, 2-D Zelda bosses are more challenging than those in 3-D ones, but these have been far easier.

I was talking about the last one, the final boss. I expected the game to force me into open confrontation because this dude obviously knows how bad ass I am and would prepare for the super stealth sneaky ninja god, but no. Two dashes and a choke out later the ending cut scenes play. Although, I just found Granny to be needlessly annoying.
