Ever see a sequel come out that you think to yourself "why did this get a sequel?" if so what game was it?

Kane and Lynch. Universally hated, and yet it got a sequel. Meanwhile back at the ranch we're still waiting on Beyond Good and Evil...

Super Mario Galaxy 2. I don't understand why it deserves one, other than to print more money.

I'm guessing you had Two Worlds in mind when you made this thread.

Pacman World has got me going: o_-

Left 4 Dead. Not because it was bad, completely the opposite. The sequel just seemed to be too soon, when the first game was (and is) still awesome

Oh, and Cats and Dogs 2. It's not a game, but why the hell is there a sequel coming out?

Bloodrayne.

This applies to both the game and the movie.

Are people really that desperate for hot vampire chicks?

BioShock. Sure, I liked the sequel very much but another game in that franschise wasn't necessary at all.

Why'd you bring up BG&E when it's made by Ubisoft?

More like we're waiting on that Blood Money sequel. Still, the multiplayer in Kane and Lynch 2 is a lot of fun, so at least that's something.

Yes, because they suck more.
*laughters*

But, wasn't the bloodrayne movies a trilogy? Wasn't there a third one set in the wild west?

Robocop come to mind. The game as well as the movie were good... but the sequel were atrocious and I'm didn't even counted the PRIME DIRECTIVE trilogy that came afterward with RoboCable.

Not a game, but Cats and Dogs 2. The original was a fairly average yet easily forgettable kid's film from 9 years ago. It's not even like it was something like Toy Story or The Incredibles that everyone loved, it was some mindless fluff that kiddies may enjoy.

Yet Cats and dogs gets a sequel and an add campaign while Batman Mask of the Phantasm got virtually no marketing and hardly any public recognition. It's times like this that the universe seems really out of balance.

Also there's a Nanny Mcfee sequel coming out soon I think. Point of these? Not many people liked them when they came out, so 10 years or even 5 for a sequel seems a little odd. Not that they were bad, they just weren't anything special.

All I know is that the poster with cat in the Hannibal Lecter mask is HI-larious.

No, that was the second one.

I think...

I hope...
