All I have to say is, "Jump the shark with a freaking fridge" FTW.Weealzabob said:God I hope they scrap this. And either do what they did with Splinter Cell Conviction, and just completely redesign the game once the inevitable uproar from the fanbase is heard. Thus preventing Brothers in Arms from jumping the shark with a freaking fridge.
Or if Gearbox is dedicated to this design choice, than just call it Furious Four. It will save some of gearbox's now tarnished respectabilty.
I'm sorry, I wasn't aware Duke Nukem started as a game that was already well-established as a serious war drama with realistic, tactical gameplay.Zac Smith said:People all complain that modern shooters today are too gritty and realistic. Ok says gearbox, we'll make an overtop shooter in which you can go ballistic and kill nazis "No that's stupid" say the fans. At least they are trying something different, even if it is a little silly? Is duke nukem any different?
The issue is not the style of the game, but the fact that none of the previous titles were anything like this.Zac Smith said:People all complain that modern shooters today are too gritty and realistic. Well what could I do? Jumping the shark wouldn't have throughly gotten my feelings across, and I don't want to spend all my time complaining. lolsageoftruth said:All I have to say is, "Jump the shark with a freaking fridge" FTW.
My thoughts exactly when I saw it on E3 stream last night. Can't complain though, not sure what the franchise was earlier, but the new stuff looks like it has potential (not that I'm saying they're gonna make use of that potential...)Irriduccibilli said:Inglorious Basterds: The Game
Yeah, if it was some new series, cool. But their using the Brothers in Arms name, even if the games are only similar in setting.Legion said:The issue is not the style of the game, but the fact that none of the previous titles were anything like this.Zac Smith said:People all complain that modern shooters today are too gritty and realistic. Imagine if Mass Effect 3 was suddenly slapstick or something, it wouldn't be a real 'Mass Effect' sequel.
But that´s the thing...Zac Smith said:People all complain that modern shooters today are too gritty and realistic.
