If I was a Texan in the military I might actually feel kind of offended. Hopefully it is supposed to be a funny game...
Exactly what I was thinking... seriously, did they need to call it Brothers in Arms? I mean, the series was supposed to be pretty respectful. Adding this to the series seems to be kind of a slap in the face to the actual guy that Brothers in Arms was based off of, to me.SyphonX said:Pretty tasteless really.
They couldn't make a new IP for this?

Yes, Duke Nukem is Duke Nukem. Brothers in Arms was a great tv-show and 3 video games that preferred realism and tactics over the arcade action of "realistic" shooters such as CoD.Zac Smith said:People all complain that modern shooters today are too gritty and realistic. Ok says gearbox, we'll make an overtop shooter in which you can go ballistic and kill nazis "No that's stupid" say the fans. At least they are trying something different, even if it is a little silly? Is duke nukem any different?
This is a serious question this, have you played the previous games for any length of time?wootsman said:it looks like i wont be welcome here it seems to me people are just angry that it isnt just another ww2 game
Nah. I'm with you.philzibit said:....I'm intrigued...guess I'm the only one.
This. This looks more like Borderlands: WW2 than a Brothers in Arms game.ProfessorLayton said:Exactly what I was thinking... seriously, did they need to call it Brothers in Arms? I have a feeling, though, that if they changed the classes so it wasn't exactly the same as Borderlands and if they change the name so it has nothing to do with Brothers in Arms, it might be pretty fun. I would just have a hard time being comfortable playing this game, even if it does turn out to be good, just because of the series that it disrespects.
Battlefield could pull it off with Bad Company, but I don't think Gearbox can/should do this. Come on, guys, you've already got Duke Nukem and Borderlands... no more silly, please.
