Well, the only one I can think of right now, is Dark Sector. Basically a Gears of War rip-off, but it's actually quite good.

The Orange Box. In particular Tear Fortress 2 if only because of how different it was from the Console version. As an avid 360 user you owns the Orange Box on both versions I can't stress enough how much better the PC version is. Left 4 Dead 2 is also a good game. Anything from Valve really is good. They are a great PC developer. Also if you choose to buy any of those games download Zombie Panic Source. It is free and quite fun.

Unreal Tournament 3 is also a very good game.

Crysis is also a beautiful game, provided your PC can play it.

America's Army is free.

That's really all I have.

Neverwinter Nights, Starcraft, origional Command & Conquer, Duke Nukem 3D (Atomic Edition ofcourse)
(Yes, Im aware you said anti RTS, but I generally dont like RTS games either, and am a console gamer)

Could also go for DOOM and Quake, if you get into Mods I guess.

Fallout 1-2.
Make sure you patch them to hell, though you may not have to worry about that if you get them off of Steam.

Now, it's kind of odd, because they're turn-based and RPGs, so... uh...

Crysis sucked.

If you like multiplayer FPS's, get shattered horizon off steam. It's an FPS set in SPACE!
Pretty awesome fun. It can be tricky to get used to, but it's a lot of fun shooting people in zero gravity. Besides, it's pretty cheap too.

Mount and Blade: Warband, is another good one. The graphics are pretty simple, but the gameplay is satisfying. There's a degree of unit management, but essentially it's a third-person hack and slash RPG, with massive armies. I'd wait till it's on sale again though. It also has loads of free mods available, and most of them are great.

And STALKER was pretty good too, although it scared the crap outta me at times.

So I am a really really hardcore gamer, but I have mostly always stuck to consoles. I did fairly recently get a new PC though, which has the oomph to run basically any game out there.

I prefer FPS and RPG games, I HATE RTS and JRPG's and anything turn based. Anime is not acceptable to me.

So what are some older games that are PC exclusives that I need to check out? I play basically every Console game that is popular, like Oblivion and Fallout3 and Halo ect ect.

If anyone has some advice I would be glad to hear it.

== Already Checked Out ==
Killing Floor
The Witcher
Guild Wars
LoL

*Thanks to anyone who feels like wasting some time giving me suggestions.
Seriosly you've tried the suckiest PC games ever heard of WoW,The Orange Box these are just some of the awesome games and I've never seen anyone who hates RTS if you hate RTS you should go back to consoles...no really if you change your mind Starcraft 2 is coming out soon.

Games I can recommend inside your criteria:

Team Fortress 2
I did not say the orange box, the reason I am still listing it is because TF2 on the PC had tons of new weapons, maps, gamemodes, animations, voiceacting.

If this would have been on consoles it would have been DLc and thus about 80bucks on DLC just to get all that content (Medic Pack, Pyro Pack, Heavy Pack, Scout Pack, Sniper vs Spy Pack, Classless Pack, Soldier/Demo WAR! Pack, Engineer Pack each counted as 10dollar's worth

We got this for free, and the Polycount weapons update, a bunch of official maps and a rumored second round of class updates are still coming Free
TF2 today is more like Team Fortress 3

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl / Call of Pripyat
Pripyat is more streamlined, Chernobyl is still amazing. just be sure to install STALKER complete 2012 (google it)
They arent for everybody but if you like a good mix between realistic gameplay and fun gunplay play this, atmosphere is everything and the game is pretty unforgiving.

Deus Ex
No need to explain this, avoid invisible wars; its not bad but compared to the original it is awful.

Dragon Age: Origins
also on consoles but the console version is downscaled pretty rough, not just in looks but mainly in the number of enemies on screen.
The PC version has the "true" version of the game, a much much better UI and mods that can work around some of the downsides of the game (I use a autoloot mod for example)

Plants vs Zombies
If you even have a bit of interest in either humor/Tower defense you must play this game. I put about 70hours into it. its that good.

Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy
Fun games, good swordplay for the time, still looks decent and really cheap. and I don't even like Star Wars all that much.

Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction
Crack in Videogame form.

Torchlight
a so called Diablo2 clone, not very long and has some flaws but very moddable and a ton of fun. oh and CHEAP

Things I recommend outside you comfort zone:

Half Life
The Originals, also on consoles but not from this generation and they are cheap.

Warhammer: 40.000: Dawn of War 2
This is a hate it or love it game, it comes close to an RTS but its more like a third person cover shooter with squad command (on lower difficulties ofc) also a good introduction to the RTS genre.

Warhammer: 40.000: Dawn of War: Chaos rising or Company of Heroes
A more traditional RTS, but still quick paced so I think you might like it (if you really dislike RTS at least try Dawn of war 2)

Research and Development - Mod
Mod for Half Life 2: Episode 2. short but sweet and a ton of fun.

Mechwarrior for Crysis - Mod
Again a mod but a kickass game.

Rollercoaster tycoon any of the 3
God/Sim game but it has a very unique charm and they are so cheap you should just try them.
I prefer 1 for nostalgia but 2 and 3 are also great (3 is in 3d)

Audiosurf
Fun reflex/racing like game based on your own music collection, must play imo.

Codename: Gordon
FREE platformer based on half life 2, it was made before HL2 came out and its not that long but hey its free and charming. get it on this page [http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=851573]

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City
Okay hear me out. ATM its not worth to buy if you played it before but once the price drops pick it up.
The PC version looks a lot better and you can install a trainer to spawn ramps/teleport etc and that just never gets old; also has quite a few high quality mods (handling, first person view)

any Bethesda RPG
Because you can mod them to get rid of stupid features, bugs, etc

False... I own Deus Ex on both pc and ps2. I played the ps2 port first sadly, and it was awful). But my point remains, it's not PC only.
I think he means the first one, dude, which is PC only, unlike Invisible War (which was rubbish). But i still maintain that just because a game is also on a console, does not mean it should be played on a console. Hell, the only time it's reasonable to do so in my eyes is in the case of platformers, but even then you can just plug in any controller to your computer and still have a much better experience (which is what i did with Assassin's Creed. Playing the PC version on a big tv with a DS3 was much better then flatout console version.).
I know he means the first game, and I wasn't referring to Invisible war.
I have the FIRST Deus Ex on ps2.
It was ported, therefore it's not PC only...
Also, Invisible War wasn't rubbish, yes it wasn't as good as the first game but it's still a darnsight better than most of the crap coming out recently. If you don't agree with that, there's something wrong with you.

Battlefield 2, tf2, counter strike and portal.

Those are my favourite PC games. I guess BC2 is alright as well.

Too bad you hate real-time strategy games, I would have had quite a few suggestions for you. Anyway if you like RPG's I would say check out Bioware's (ie. Kotor 1, Mass Effects) Obisdian's (ie. DragonAge Origins, Kotor 2(Kotor 2's ending is really a letdown though, just an advance warning)) and obviously Bethesda (ie.Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion). Also a lot of people I know who like RPG's like dungeon crawlers so definetely check out Diablo 2, you won't be sorry you did. As for shooters, although pc controls work better with shooters you're probably not going to find much that you can't get on consoles so if there is a certain shooter you were considering but have been holding off on, get it for the pc instead of a console.

You want PC exclusive games? Freeware is your friend. Start with Cave Story, an open world (almost sandbox) sidescroller with an excellent gameplay, level design, hell it even has a story.

If you're not after graphics, you should try the original Operation Flashpoint.

Also, if you're after good RPG, Mount&Blade Warband is very good.

Mount & Blade Warband.

It's already been said, but I can't recommend it enough. Fantastic game.

Also the STALKER series. Shadow of Chernobyl with the Stalker Complete mod.

It's strange how people recommend titles that are over a decade old, the vast majority of them have not aged well at all. Let's be fair, Deus Ex, Fallout and Half Life were groundbreaking and innovative when they first came out and I'm not saying we should ignore their contribution in the history of gaming, but in today's landscape they are outdated and simply cannot compete.

If you're into FPSes and RPGs I recommend:

- Crysis and Crysis Warhead ( stunning visuals and an expansive world )
- Metro 2033 ( atmospheric and unique )
- Batman: Arkham Asylum
- Dragon Age: Origins ( make sure you get the DLCs )
