"Regeneration." Kendrik shrugged. This place must be dampening my magic, the Lance has never struck someone without killing them.
"Back to work then." He said while balling up his hand and swiping it in front of him, sending a cresent of dark energy towards Tophat.

If the crescent was upright, Tophat would roll to the side. If it was level, it would drop down underneath it. In either case, Tophat then ran at Kendrik and attacked with a high kick.

Kendrik clicked his fingers and a wall of flames surrounded him. He slid a dagger out of his belt and drew the blade across his palm before gesturing into the air as blood flecked from his hand. With another gesture the droplets of blood congealed into more daggers which hovered in place briefly before sailing towards his foe.

 

[Kirke]

Tophat ignored the flames, and jumped-tackled Kendrik to the ground before he could create the blood-daggers. It tried to wrench the dagger from Kendrik, hitting him in the face with the stump of its left arm over and over. It's flesh was slowly burning away, the fire overcoming the regeneration.

Kendrik span the dagger around and threw it away before intensifying the flames which would not harm him. He held up his left hand, the black magic flowed from his palm and covered his forearm before hardening and he used it as a defense to the attack.

Tophat jumped after the dagger, grabbing it and patting out the fire. Tophat launched a vision at Kendrik to buy some time. It was short, only about ten seconds, but seemed to span centuries which sped by.

Kendrik stood up, during his distraction he instinctively cast a reactive defensive spell. Tendrils of darkness wormed their way beneath his skin like a dark series of veins. Once the vision was over he beckoned to his dagger to return before dismissing the fire which exploded briefly before dying out. The dagger began to tug at Tophat's grip.

OOC: Going to work.

Tophat held the dagger well enough to keep it from returning to Kendrik, and slowly advanced towards him.

D-Eye stepped out on the arena and smiled. "Oh Greed, did I mention it doesn't matter if you die or get hurt? they have respawners and medics for that sort of thing" he explained to him, twirling his sickle. "So don't feel like you gotta hold back, Ya hear?"

OoC: @Nail, any requests for the type of battlefield?

 

[Chungus]

"Respawners? As in... You come back if you die in here?" Greed asked, slightly confused, then shrugged. Weak! I can't even kill this kid to take his stuff, he'd just pop up somewhere else. Eh. Too late to call it off now. Might as well have some fun. "Noted. Though, I won't be needing this myself." With that said, Greed rolled his shoulders and assumed a more active stance.

Spoiler: the battlefield

D-Eye adjusted his right arm slightly for combat. "Just because we come back when we die, doesn't mean the pain we feel annit real" He said to Greed, then took a small bow. "Good luck by the way boss!" he said as he stood in his stance.

Greed looked around his surroundings when it changed from the default arena to the ruined city and blew an impressed whistle. "No idea what happened just now, but it sure's a neat trick." He remarked, calmly walking towards D-Eye, still looking around. Then, without warning, he burst into a sprint, zig-zaging as he approached towards D-Eye more, doing so to make himself less of a target should D-Eye prove to have any ranged attacks, concealed guns were relatively common in Automail in his own universe. When in range, Greed leapt up, making a downwards punch towards D-Eye. While Greed didn't put any superhuman strength into the punch, given that his fist were as hard as diamond now, it would likely still do damage if it connected.

D-Eye crossed his sword with his sickle to block Greed's punch, thought it pushed him back slightly it also shipped his sickle. "Hmm, super human strength Perhaps?" he commented, looking at Greed through his scanner. D-Eye took a swing at Greed with his sword and quickly shifted his right leg to try and trip Greed over.

 

[Chungus]

When D-Eye swung his sword, Greed blocked it with his left arm, the sword connecting with Greed's wrist with a "clang". "Super human strength? Kid, I haven't even started yet." he remarked, jumping to the side when D-Eye tried to trip him up, landing to the right side of D-Eye. There, he delivered a quick jab toward D-Eye's ribs. Again, the punch carried force, only slightly greater then what an professional boxer would have.

D-Eye wasn't quick enough to block the jab, when the blow hit it his mechanical side cracked and chipped, it nearly toppled himside ways. "Gr...what are you?" he asked, as he swung again at Greed with sword and sickle in a cross shaped slash. his scanner started to scan Greed's hands, trying to pick up what was giving them so much strength.

"Ooh. That sounds like it hurt." Greed remarked upon hearing D-Eye's mechanical side crunch. When D-Eye swung both his weapons at Greed, he bended through his knees crossed his arms infront of his face. While the sickle and sword harmless slid over Greed's hardened skin, when they reached the forearms, the left their mark. Fortunately for Greed, the weapons had slid off, so only the tips of the weapons cut through his flesh. The sickle left a deeper cut then the sword did, due to its shape. Greed grunted slightly and slammed his left into D-Eye to throw him off-balance, then stood up and put some distance between himself and D-Eye. "Me? I'm a Homonculus. And you?" With that asked, Greed charged at D-Eye again and delivered a punch aimed towards D-Eye's jaw. "You said you weren't human either." he remarked as he punched.

The scanner would pick up the carbon attoms in Greed's hands had been re-arranged, this hardening Greed's skin significantly.

D-Eye used his sword arm to block Greed's punch, though due to the force it sent him back a bit. "a Homonculus? care to explain that a little further?2 he asked Greed, he look down at his sword arm which was now buckled and dented. he sighed and took off the useless broken sword and threw it to his side. "To answer your question, I'm technically a spirit. Although I often get mistaken for Android" he replied, as he read the data off his scanner. That's not good then, guess hang back and shoot up will have to do for now then he though as his arm adjusted to a crossbow looking device, he charged up 3 arrows* and fired them at Greed.

OoC: *=there not normal arrows, but light arrows. think of lazer beam like Arrows that shine gold.

"An artificial human, made with alchemy." Greed answered. When Greed fired his golden arrows, Greed pushed off the ground with greater force, thus moving at a great speed to avoid the arrows. Still, as the arrows were fired at so close by, Greed only managed to evade two of them, the third one going through his side, just below the pectoral muscle. He only grunted in pain, showing he had a high pain tolerance. "[sub]Okay. That stung.[/sub] A spirit, eh? So you're like a ghost then? What's up with that?" He asked as he charged towards D-Eye, feigning to deliver a punch to the face, stopping at the last moment to attempt to grab D-Eye by the shoulders. If successful, Greed would throw him to the side.
