OOC: First person fight mode, GO!

I casually walk around the place, looking at the water, and the rocks. All very nice. Very serene. "That's fine with me." I say as I fire my laser to render that crossbow useless when I can get a clear shot at it.

OoC: She did have her knives out, but I'm willing to retcon her into holding the crossbow.

"By the-" Eva barely had time to dodge, and even though she did, the laser still struck true, burning the crossbow. She got behind a rock, wondering what on earth thaat atack was as she checked the bow. The stock was charred and the string had snapped. It was useless.

I was intending him to have destroyed it while it was holstered.

Also, since I'm pretty sure lasers move at the speed of light, I don't think you can reasonably dodge them.

I smile a bit and put my laser away for now. Getting behind a rock of my own, I start to anylise the data I've already collected on her physiology.

OoC: Info on Eva? Um... Elves in my verse have stronger immune systems and strange DNA, allowing lifepans of up to 200 years. Very fast reflexes, lean but strong muscles and less lactic acid buildup, so they can react to stuff really quickly, run pretty fast and keep going for ages and ages. Specific to Eva, various aches and pains from sneaking around and staying still a lot due to her job (thief/assassin for hire) and I don't know exactly how it would manifest because I don't really know biology, but she was an alcoholic at one point.

Eva dropped the bow, then poked her head out. Tanner had vanished. Holding both kantesunes, she slowly and silently crept from cover to cover, waiting for a chance to strike.

OOC: Wasn't actually expecting all that, but cool. Do you think she would have human-like pressure points?

I jump from my cover, assuming she has no other projectile weapons, I should be able to beat her in close combat. I listen carefully for any sound that might give her away.

OoC: @Outis Not exactly the same, but similar enough that someone could use human pressure point combat and still get results.

Eva kept on stalking around the arena, then saw Tanner leap from cover. Smiling, Eva sheathed one kanestune, securing it in her harness with a small and soft click, then leapt out, aiming for Tanner's neck with her remaining blade.

Deep breath. Shift body away from strike, move in close, crouch lightly for better angle of attack. Grab wrist and hold, upward chopping strike at Golgi tendon, arm hyper-extends. Rotate body around 180 degrees to face away from opponent, stand to full high and pull opponent's arm downward sharply to break elbow over the shoulder. Wait for reaction.

OOC: The arm she attacked with should be pretty useless.

Eva screamed as she felt her elbow break, dropping the kanetsune in her hand. She pulled out the one she sheathed earlier with her free hand, striking downwards into Tanner's shoulder.

Weapon hits home. Damn...That hurts...Focus, focus. Retaliate. Kick backward into opponents knee while rushing forward and turning to face her. Opponent should let go of weapon, losing it.

I was taking more inspiration from the new Sherlock Holmes movies actually. Also, now two one-armed combatants.

OoC: @Outis Yeah, I can see that kinda "analyse then fight" thing going on in Tanner's head.

Eva fell over from the strike to her knee, but she tried to make the best of it, breaking the fall with he remaing arm. She got up, wincing with pain and nursing her hurt arm, then hopped back, putting some distance between herself and Tanner. Her kanetsune reamined embedded in Tanner's shoulder.

OOC: I'm actually shamelessly ripping off that style of thing, but whatever.

I pull out the knife and throw it into the nearby stream. Damage done on both sides. Both loss of use of a single arm. She has a weakened knee. Capitalize as soon as possible. Bleeding profusely. Good thing Buddy can speed up the clotting process. Should end this sooner rather than later though.

"Well... guess that we need not worry about an unmatched battle, huh?" Eva took an crossbow bolt out of the quiver on her back. It wasn't a kinfe, but it would do. She advanced towards Tanner slowly, partially because of her damaged leg and partially out of caution.

I don't say anything and don't move. Weapon effectiveness...minimal. Could prove more of a indifference...

I'd play him in a heart beat if I was smart enough. But I ain't know nothing bout no sience and stuff.

Also, is Eva pretty strong? Stronger than average?

OoC: @Outis Eh, just look up some Mass Effect technobabble and apply some medigel once in a while. And Eva? Elves are slightly stronger than humans, plus she's used to stabbing and slashing and climbling and stuff, so I'd say fairly strong. Not super though.

I don't think that would be true to the character. If some character was poisoned or there was any kind of problem, he would try to solve it in some way.

Also, she's stabbing at...what? Head, neck, chest?

And I'd say she's stabbing at the neck. Not any bone or anything in the way, bassically garuntees a kill.
