Annika looked a little confused as EMily addressed her. After a quick translation from the bear, which nobody but Annika would hear, Annika nodded.
[color=915c83]"Annika."[/color] a male voice, originating from the bear, stated, in response to EMily's question. Annika nodded, then asked, [color=c41e3a]"Puhutko suomea?" (Do you speak Finnish?)[/color].
EMily blinked a few times before materializing Photon, her computer. It displayed a hologram of the translated words, as well as the language that was spoke. She blinked again, never having met a person from that region before.
"Oh, it's Finnish. Huh... interesting." She typed in a message in English and the computer spoke it back in Finnish.

Over in the arena, a new contestant appeared. This figure was male, appeared to be in his late teens, and was wearing a baggy hoodie, jeans and worn-out trainers. His hoodie was missing the left arm, from the elbow down, with the exposed skin covered in scar tissue from numerous bite marks. As he was on his back, his hood had fallen down, to expose his pale skin, blond locks and blue lips. Every part of his body, except his brain and left forearm, was technically dead.

Beth noticed something, through the arena door. Her sensors were distorted by the place, but something was on the other side. She walked through, arriving in the blank space with the dead boy.
Once Beth entered the arena, the dead boy became oddly lively. He leapt to his feet, and looked around. [color=5128a4]"Where am I?"[/color] he asked, his eyes narrowing when he spotted Beth.
Oliver's lips parted in a grin, and his upper canines began extending. [color=5128a4]"Really? I haven't had a good brawl in years."[/color] he said. Once he finished talking, his jaw began distorting to make way for the fangs. Once his teeth had fully descended, the points were below his chin, giving his mouth the appearance of a sabre-tooth tiger's.

The blank space shifted and blurred, changing. Before long, the combatants found themselves in what seemed to be a steel mill. The large, flat court was lit by vats of molten metal surrounding it, and two layers of catwalks crisscrossed overhead, with ladders leading up to them.
