Oliver pulled his hoodie off, revealing a shirt covered in dried blood. With a guttural roar, Oliver charged at Beth. His hands curled into fists, and he raised them. Once he got close to Beth, Oliver would attempt to punch her in the head, hard.

Beth, taken off guard by the blood and the aggression, jumped back just in time to dodge the swing. Once she had recovered a bit, she backed off and tried to keep away from Oliver, the tubes in her arms sliding out and building up cyan energy.

In the arena where the robed figure had been deposited in, two new figures appeared opposite figure. One was a particularly large, pale-blue-eyed raven, standing 80cm tall. The other was a man in his late forties, with a somewhat thinly build, and standing 1.76m call, having the eyes, ears of a goat, as well as curled horns coming from the side of his head, and the legs of a goat, somewhat adjusted for bipedalism.

The man worse dirty and worn clothes consisting of grey wide-legged linen trousers with a brown leather belt, and an unbuttoned white shirt, as well as a variety of strange anklets, bracelets, a necklace, and a charm tied to the left horn. Around his neck hung a worn wooden flute, and in his right hand, he held a long stick, which he seemingly used as a cane.

"" The bird questioned with a bemused tone, speaking with a male voice, without moving the beak.

the man replied, a great deal jollier.

Both the raven and the goat-man spoke in Latin.

Upon the arrival of the two new combatants, the arena the robed figure occupied began to take new shape. The floor depressed 30cm downward and changed to form a stage of rough-cut stone. Water poured from unseen spigots high above to fill the gap between the floors new and old height. Four 'islands' raised up above the water line another 30 cm, forming four evenly spaced, 4 meter wide in diameter platforms that were clear out of the pool of water. The Islands were evenly spaced from one another, in the rough shape of a square formation.

"Opposing teams on the floor! Who will emerge victorious?"

The figure in the robe, referred to from now on as Blue, only began to move after hearing the announcement. It moved towards the other two occupants of the arena with haste and an aggressive posture. Blue's hands, feet, and face were all covered in cloth of the same color as it's robe, leaving nothing exposed. As it approached, it appeared to clumsily stagger forward just enough to dip its left hand underneath the water, but regained its stride immediately afterwards, with a massive icicle covering its hand and extending 2 feet out from the end of its arm.

As the arena changed, the bird - named Phyros - and the goat man - named Laminus, looked around with confusion, doubly so when water began pouring out of unseen places. Phyros' gaze soon fell on Blue, watching it with half curiosity, half suspicion, while Laminus continued to look around the changing arena, clapping against the wrist of his cane-holding hand while laughing.

"" Phyros asked Laminus as the announcement of the start of the match was made, cocking his head to the side. He kept his eyes fixed on Blue, watching it. If Blue had a beating heart, a still one, or no heart at all, Phyros would know.
Lamunus only responded with a "" while shrugging once.

Regardless of his findings, when Blue began menacingly approaching the duo, Phyros spread his wings, showing the 160cm wingspan, and leapt up, flying up, not liking where things were going.

Laminus began flicking the charm hanging from his horn as blue approached, but let out a short yelp when he saw Blue forming the icy spear. Having noted there was no way out, Laminus too could see the writing on the wall. While strafing towards the left of the island he stood on, Laminus took hold of his flute, bringing it to hips lips, and played a quick, eight-note long melody. After this, faintly vissible pale-blue lines ran over Laminus.

Phyros would find that Blue had no physical heart to speak of. Blue's attention seemed to focus on Laminus as Phyros elected to fly off, as it stepped onto the island with the goat-man, the damp cloth covering its feet making a damp squelch as they made firm contact with the stone. Blue raised its arms and made towards Laminus, pulling its left arm back and jabbing forward in an attempt to stab the goat man in the center of the torso with its icicle once it was within range.

Oliver's eyes locked onto the tubes, and he unclenched one of his fists. The nails extended into claws, which he attempted to use to slash the tubes.

Beth, having built up enough energy, tried to counter the claw swipe. The cyan energy formed a shape around her hand, similar to a katar, and she moved into the swipe and thrust forward to try and stab Oliver through the hand.

Beth managed to stab Oliver's hand, though he didn't seem to react, other than by pulling away. At the same time, he brought his other hand up to try and grab Beth's throat. If he managed to do this, Oliver would begin squeezing tightly, with an almost bone-crushing grip.

Oliver managed to grab Beth's neck, but his grip wasn't quite strong enough to damage her metallic structure. The energy blade dissipated, and she instead shaped the plasma into an energy ball, which she tried to shove into his face as it exploded like a flashbang.

Noticing that Beth's body was more solid than expected, Oliver attempted to throw her backwards. Her metal body would make this harder to do, but Oliver's strength would still allow him to move her. The bright explosion of the plasma ball stunned Oliver, blinding him and causing him to roar in pain.
Immediately, he brought his left hand up to his head, and sank his fangs in. Blood began dripping out, giving an explanation to the scars coating the forearm.

Beth was thrown by Oliver, and saw him biting into his arm. She drew more plasma, preparing an attack, then pointed at Oliver's centre of mass and fired a thin but absurdly hot plasma beam out of the tip of her finger. If Oliver was listening, he'd be able to hear it charge and fire.

After playing his flute, Laminus continued flicking the charm hanging by his horn, while still moving towards the corner of the island. Soon, Laminus got his charm to work, a small smirk forming on his face. This didn't last long, however, as Blue stabbed at his chest. Rather then being impaled, however, the ice spike slid over Laminus' chest, the pale-blue lines brightening beneath the ice spike. The only real damage the ice spike did was tearing through Laminus' shirt when it slid off his chest.

While unharmed, Laminus left out a yelp as he was struck. Taking two quick steps backwards, Laminus' jumped over to the other island, there turning to face Blue. "If you could stop fighting us, that would be great, thanks," he remarked, his charm translating it to whatever spoken word Blue was familiar the most. If they didn't know any spoken language, nothing would happen.

Phyros called out as he flew, his eyes still fixed on blue. Tucking his wings closer to his sides, Phyros went into a dive towards Blue, and as he did, had a three metre long tendril of physical shadow rise up from the shadow cast by Blue's ice spike. The tendril lashed out at Blue, and would leave a 5cm deep gash in whatever it struck, unless a material was particularly tough, in which case, the deepness would lessen.
Whatever would happen, the tendril would sink back into the shadow it came from after lashing out.

Laminus muttered something under his breath upon hearing Phyros' call, and brought his flute to his mouth again, and played a four note long melody, this tune sharper in tone then the last he played. When finished, Phyros' claws would be enveloped in yellow-orange fire, which didn't seem to harm Phyros himself.

The plasma beam cut through Oliver's body, and he yelled out in pain, removing his arm from his mouth in the process. As he screamed, the tone of his voice changed noticeably. His eyes turned yellow-green and his fangs receded somewhat. The most obvious change, however, was his skin turning dark green and scaly. Cracks formed in the skin, filled with rivers of molten gold that inexplicably stayed within the boundaries of his body, despite flowing through the cracks.

"What the?!" Beth drew more energy, throwing a few small plasma balls to try and keep Oliver at bay.

Avery, who was now in control of Oliver's body, kept yelling in pain as the plasma hit him. Molten gold dripped down onto the ground from the points that were hit. "Almost as bad as the fires of Hell..." he said, his accent clearly American, compared to Oliver's Australian accent. He cracked his neck, then charged at Beth. Avery's larger form was slower than Oliver's, but, at the same time, his blows would carry more force.

Seeing Avery was slow, Beth started charging, gathering energy for a large attack. If Avery got too close, she would try and jump to the side to avoid him.

When Beth jumped, Avery simply turned towards her and continued his charge, attempting to tackle her.

Beth, admittedly, hadn't expected the molten monster to be able to react so quick. She managed to finish charging, but before she could put it to use, Avery hit her.

Avery attempted to lift Beth and charge towards the molten metal surrounding the two combatants with her. It would be difficult for Beth to get out of Avery's grip, but she would likely be able to attack him during the charge.
