Seeing Maya aim him, Phyros began flying in more haphazardly patterns to make it harder for her to get a bead on him, the distance between Maya and himself, and his smaller-then-human size somewhat helping in that. He couldn't evade all of the shots however, and was pegged thrice; twice in the left wing, and once in the side of the chest. Strangely, rather then going straight through him, the bullets only just made it through his skin, the two bullets that were in his wing falling out soon after.
The fact that the bullets were incendiary rounds made it so that the rounds still did damage, the feathers around the bullet wound in the chest and flesh beneath them beginning to whiten due to the heat. Letting out a harsh caw, Phyros fell to the ground. But just before hitting it, he turned into a shadow, and rid himself of the bullet that was still stuck in him in doing so.
Laminus taunted Oliver as he swirled around in his fog state, although without his charm, the words would go untranslated. He did nothing other then move around, noting Phyros being struck, but opting to bide his time.
Soon after being stopped, the shadowy tendril receded back into the shadow that spawned it.
