Gold flicked out his fingers. Shields would pop up in front of each shot, taking the hits individually. the last shot however would get through as Gold's concentration waned, failing him at the last moment. It slammed into Buffy, who howled in displeasure before reaching out and delivering a brick break into Rex's sternum, blood pouring from his head and skull visible.
Rex pulled in his arms and knees in an attempt to minimize the damage he took as the punch connected sending Rex flying up, spiiting up blood out of his mouth. However, he just smirked as he switched back to his gauntlet and red sparks of electricity started to arc around his entire body. "Nice one..."
After muttering that, he used his boosters again to fly down toward Buffy and deliver a punch carrying a hefty electric charge to the exposed skull of the pokemon, his attack resembling a red lightning strike coming straight down.

The guy continued to watch the battle, digging out a scanner out of his pocket he put it over his good eye and started to record the fight. It's better to be safe then sorry....hehehe... He put on hand in his pocket, while holding the sickle/crossbow arm and his right side. "Yo....voice person...when do I get a go?" he asked.
"After this battle is over, if anyone wants to fight, you can go ahead."
OoC: @Dot I should probably clear up that Dan can use lightning himself and I think he gets healed by it, so that won't have much effect on him.

Buffy flinched from the punch, but at the electricity something strange happened. Instead of shaking from the electric shocks, it chuckled. It grabbed Rex by his leg, and slammed him into the ground, swinging an oversized paw into his face. Gold cheered from the sidelines, still recovering from his psychic exertions. "Haha, Ground types are immune to Electric type attacks!"
@FPS: So the force of his punch wouldn't have done anything to the skull?

Adrenaline managed to keep the demon standing as he fired a few volleys, each shot still gaining in power with the first being as powerful as the last in his first barrage. As a parting gift, he sent one last shot after he was done straight toward Gold.

Gold called out, worried for his team member, to "Use substitute Buffy!" Buffy closed his eyes, before reopening them in shock as he realized that his health was too low to bring up the substitute armor. He took the shots, each knocking him back, until the final barrage removed his head and upperbody in a blast of power. Gold let out a wordless scream of rage, and caught the shot at him in a shield weakened enough to ensure that it would only weaken the blast to survivable levels, taking it full in the chest.

OoC: @Dot He's... not, actually. Even if I could really continue in this battle, as it's getting really late here, Dan's a bloody great coward so he'll probably just run the whole time. Really I would love to play Laguna or Makoto again, but there's not much I can do with them, I don't want to typecast myself, everyone but me seem kinda tired of them, and @Kirke flat out said I shouldn't play them because I'll just keep moaning and saying I'm not as good as I used to be with them.

The lightning around him changed from a red color to a black one. "Tesla... Delta!!" The blood carried an absurd charge as the gun fired a massive beam of black energy at the duo.

Unlike Gold's own light screens however, instead of shatterimg it bent and followed the shot like a net, reducing its power as it went. It would strike the butterfree massively weakened, though it would send the butterfree spinning. Yeowch, that was- the butterfree was interrupted by a roar as Gold charged past him, his eyes glowing a deep red as he charged towards Rex.

Rex took one last normal shot toward the Butterfree before switching back to his gauntlet and taking a ready stance as Gold rushed at him. His entire body was arcing with black electricity. "You and I are alike, Gold. Battle scarred, protective of our friends, recklessness... and unfit to lead anyone."
Gold swung out 20 feet away from Rex- only for Rex to feel the punch land, across the face. He began swinging away at air, his punches being carried by his mind. The butterfree caught the bullet and slammed it into the ground, before flutrering over both Rex and Golds heads. yes, tell the crazy guy you're just like him after shooting his buddy, that should calm him down... clouds of sleep powder began descending from Atin's flight path, slowly spreading across the arena.

He replied to the Butterfree before covering his mouth and nose as he noticed the powder. Using his boosters, he dashed in toward Gold before sliding and delivering a barrage of gauntlet handed jabs toward Gold, punching quick and hard as if he was using a speed bag. The electricity arced around Rex's hand causing a decent shock with each jab.
Rex would be caught midslide, and pulled away from Gold, who had stopped targetig anyone with his attacks, simply raging over his friends death.okay, yes, true. In reality, Golds a crazy ************ that should be in a mental home. But, unfortunately, hes not. Now, I can either let the lunatic, in his not sane moments, get himself killed. Or, I could protect him, as I am now, and let him lead us during his sane moments. And let me tell you, he leads well. Best psychic I know, and a bloody good trainer. But yeah, he's definitely crazy. Not gonna lie about that one. as the butterfree spoke, a pressure would be building in Rex's head, growing more and more painful as the butterfree spoke.

Rex grunted a bit as the Butterfree started messing with his head. Still keeping his hand clasped over his mouth, the powder slowly started to seep in. He held his last breath as he charged up his gauntlet and punched upward. It would have made a nice victory pose, but a moment after a pillar of electric energy shot up from under him and toward the Butterfree. "Good enough, then."
