Rex looked over at Gold walking in and waved before walking into the arena as the Meta finished up.

Carmen shrugged. [color=bb0066] "Yes, that's the point of this arena. We'll allow them to make jest of us for the moment." [/color] She stopped sipping her drink as her eyes seemed to glow yellow. [color=bb0066] "But after our fun's over, we'll destroy this place..." [/color]

"Welcome to the Evilington Interdimensional Combat Arena. Please, follow the lights, and enjoy your stay."
A man came too in the blackness. With little choice, he followed the lights into a room that was reminiscenet of a crypt. Wanting to explore, Sir Daniel Fortesque exited the crypt, following down the passageway to the locker room.

Rex stood outside in the arena, hands laced behind his head and looking around. "...Huh... Would've expected this place to be a little more packed."

Carmen resumed sipping her drink as she noticed Rex on the screen. [color=bb0066] "Sparky.. huh..." [/color]

Gold sighed and collected two pokeballs, as well as his pistol, tying it on. He walked into the arena, waving to Rex. "Hey. Don't think I saw your name on the board. Name's Gold."

Sir Dan fished a golden sword and shield out of the locker before heading into the arena. He saw Gold and Rex, and waved. "Mmmphh!"[footnote]Hello![/footnote]

Rex looked back as Gold called out to him. "Yo. Name's Rex. Nice to meet ya." The demon still looked a little ragged, a small scar on his face and his clothes ripped in various places. Still, he smiled a bit as he turned around, the chain on his arm shuffling a bit as he did waving to both Sir Dan and Gold.

@Gear: I don't have a preference here.

"The same." Gold eyed Sir Dan cautiously, and took a few steps away from both Sir Dan and Rex. "So, you guys ready to duke it out?"

OoC: Well then, I'm gonna try something a little different.

The arena warped and flashed, the light blinding all for a short time. When the glow recceded, the arena had changed. It was a digital-looking void. Everything was covered in low, blue lighting. The floor seemed to be made of flat, slightly shiny glass. Glowing abstract patterns, waves and swirls of light, and thunderbolts flared in the far distance.
"Today's combatants! Gold, Rex, and Sir Daniel!"
"Mpph, ph?!"[footnote]Wait, what?![/footnote] Dan mumbled. "Mmmmphph?!"[footnote]Combatants?![/footnote]

Gold glanced down before looking back at the other two combatants. "So, who's taking first swing?"

"Phm hrmm!"[footnote]Not me![/footnote] Dan said, cowering behind his sheild and backing off slowly.

Rex looked over at both Gold and Sir Dan before sighing and beginning to walk toward Gold casually, hands in pockets.

Gold watched Rex take a single step before pulling his pokeball and tossing it down. Out came a purple reptile, large as a house and as angry as a dragon, which let out a roar. "NIDO-KING!" Gold climbed up on to its back and watched Rex. "You'll have to forgive me, but I don't trust people easy. Lets not get too close to each other, else the chief here will feel it necessary to see if he can rip your arms off."

Upon seeing the Nidoking, Dan stopped walking backward and crouched behind his wall of a sheild. His teeth would of been chattering had his lower jaw been around, but his bones and armour shaking produced a similar effect.

OoC: For the record, Dan's skull flexes like a normal face, so he can still smile, frown, blink, etc etc.

@Hatch: Yeah, a dark room, a voice guides you to your characters best suite ever, then you take care of the rest.

Rex seemed completely unphased by the large pokemon suddenly appearing. He shrugged toward Gold as he continued to walk toward him and his Nidoking. "He can try, I guess. Hope it'll be worth having him sent to a hospital."

Gold tapped the Nidoking's head. "Okay buddy, open with the usual. A one, a two, a one two three." with the count started, Nidoking began stamping a foot to the imaginary beat, humming along. On the third repetition, he stamped his other foot down with amazing strength, and the field would begin trembling and shaking before falling into a full fledged earthquake.

Dan stubled around in the eatrthquake, armour clanking.
