Suddenly, a hole opened beneath Junkil's feet. He fell down with a cry, that was cut off as the floor turned solid again. A moment later, he was unceremoniously dropped in the arena. He slowly stood back up, leaning on his staff as he scanned the arena. He spotted Vicky some distance away, and frowned. [color=000066]Oh no... This is no monster, this is a person! I cannot take her life![/color]

OoC: Do you have any preference in arena style?

OOC: Not at all.

Victoria grumbled incoherently to herself as she stood up and dusted off her clothes.

[color=5128a4]"That wasn't a fight, that was dinner."[/color] Oliver replied with a grin, displaying his bloody teeth. When Vicky appeared, Oliver sniffed the air. [color=5128a4]"Smells like new meat."[/color]

OoC: Alright, coming up with something.

The arena twisted and changed, as the area between Vicky and Junkil turned into the deck of a wooden ship. It was roughly 36 (120 ft) metres long, and only five metres (6 ft) wide. The area around the vessel, identifiable as a Greek Trireme, was now a calm sea, though the ship was still swaying slowly.

"Two contestants have entered the arena! Ready, fight!"

Junkil used his staff to steady himself, as he was not at all used to being on a ship. He looked over at Victoria, who was on in the opposite end of the ship, and called out. [color=000066]"I am sorry! I do not have a choice, I must fight you!"[/color] He took a step forward, then closed his eyes and focused on the joys in his life.

Upon hearing Oliver smell the air, EMily looked at the screen when the new arrival appeared out of nowhere.
"Y-you can smell that person all the way from over here?"

[color=5128a4]"Their blood, yeah. They don't seem to have much, though."[/color] Oliver replied. [color=5128a4]"And, at this distance, I can hear your heart beating."[/color]

Victoria yelped and staggered slightly as the ground she stood on began to sway underneath her feet. Taking a deep breath in, her feet began to glow a soft blue, after which her footing appeared much more sure.
Code:
"So all I gotta do is beat this guy to a pulp? Easy enough."
She cracked her knuckles as she gave Junkil a once-over look. She held out her left arm, conjuring up a metal rod 5 feet in length and grasping it with both her hands at even intervals, brandishing it like a weapon. She cautiously approaching Junkil, keeping a close eye on his movements for the time being.

EMily cocked an eyebrow, she put her middle and index finger right where the neck meets the head, feeling her own pulse for 15 seconds. Doing some quick math in her head, her pulse was about 76 bpm.

"What's my pulse right now?"

Junkil raised his staff, then swept it sideways right to left. In response, a wave began to form some twenty metres from the ship. A few seconds later, it had grown tall and crashed over the deck. Junkil braced with his staff as the water engulfed him, but as the foam cleared, he was practically dry. However, he was still struggling with his footing, as the entire ship rocked from the impact.

Victoria was in mid-stride as the wave crashed against the ship, and while the impact itself wasn't enough to completely knock her off the deck, she stumbled and ended up toppling over the railing and falling into the sea anyway.

Oliver shut his eyes, focusing on EMily's heart. The index finger of his left hand began tapping against his leg, and after a few seconds the rhythm matched EMily's heartbeat. [color=5128a4]"About... 76 beats a minute."[/color] Oliver said, after thinking it over.

Junkil cautiously made his way over to the railing which Victoria had fallen off, peering down into the quite clear water with a look of worry about him.

She pulled out Photon again, which, upon activation, began measuring the pulse in her hand and displaying it on a hologram.
"76.4, exactly." She cocked one of her blue-colored eyebrows. "Fascinating." She dismissed Photon. "Did you get this ability before or after you went to the inferno?"

Oliver opened his eyes again. [color=5128a4]"What? Oh, I'm the vampire, not the demon. My spirit's never left my body, let alone gone to Hell."[/color] he explained. [color=5128a4]"I got that talent after I died, though."[/color]

Junkil wouldn't have much luck in seeing anything over the railing, especially since his search would likely be cut short due to needing to pay attention to the metallic hand bursting through the deck near his feet, then angrily thrashing about in an attempt to grab his ankle.

"I'm a scientist, so I had to ask. Finding evidence is one of my gigs. You should join us sometime for biofeedback." She smiled, but then delivered a question. "But why did you get that talent, if you don't mind me asking? Did someone give it to you?"

[color=5128a4]"Well, I'm a vampire. Smelling blood, hearing hearts... very useful for finding people to drink."[/color] Oliver replied. [color=5128a4]"My senses are better than humans' in general. I can see in the dark, too."[/color]

Junkil cried out in surprise and fear, spinning around and leaning against the railing as he stabbed with the end of his wooden staff at the hand. If Victoria managed to grab his ankle anyway, which she probably could, then she'd literally be in for a shock. Through Junkil's body, there now surged electricity fuelled by fear. The electricity was still fairly weak, roughly the intensity of a stun-gun, and as such would not leap through the air at the metal hand.

"To be quite honest, I've seen transhumans and aliens of all kinds, but never have I seen a real vampiric person in my universe." She smiled in admiration.

<color=green>"We've asked you so many questions. Do you have any questions about us?" Winona coyly asked, putting a finger to the side of her lips.
