Oryn would not be successful in rolling on top of Anik, as she, after bringing him down, kept her hands on his legs, pushing with a lot of strength to keep him down, before bringing out her small wooden dagger, hidden near the girdles of her right leg, and starting to stab his leg multiple times, working her way upwards.

Oryn stared in mute horror as his legs were stabbed repeatedly, the armour on his legs thankfully doing a fair amount to keep him safe, but not a perfect job. He quickly reached across his body, and began tapping away at the metal band on his wrist in a panic. Unless Anik stopped him either directly or by killing him, the ground around the two combatants would explode upwards towards them, creating a hail of sand and rock that would scrape at Anik's skin and make it harder to breathe.

Anik could not kill Oryn in time, and could not see what he was planning to do, so the explosion took her by surprise. She made a surprised sound, but started to cough immediately after.

To not get surprised, she rolled off Oryn, and a second time, to be out of range of weapons, then coughed more, trying to get some new breath.

Oryn took a moment to focus, his armour and helmet protecting him from the cloud of sand. Once he was able to concentrate better, he again began operating his wrist band. This time, the earth around him compacted into larger rocks, then blasted towards Anik like cannonballs. Since Oryn's vision was impaired, he struggled to aim and so the rocks would potentially miss. Furthermore, his legs were bleeding quite a bit, and were clearly unusable.

As she heard the first rock blast past her, Anik threw herself on the ground again, to avoid getting hit, then rolled to the side, so she wouldn't make a sitting target, and waited for Oryn to stop shooting rocks.

Oryn launched another pair of sandstone balls at Anik, these ones better aimed but still unlikely to hit since Anik was prone. Regardless of what happened, Oryn would collapse on his back and fall unconscious.

Oryn has been defeated! Anik wins!

The arena slowly faded away, as a wave of healing magic washed over the combatants.

A new woman entered the arena. She had fire-red shoulder-length hair, frazzled, but braided in parts. Standing at 172cm, she was of average height. She was barefoot, wearing a knee-length patchy cyan dress and a red cape with yellow fringe, held by two leather shoulderpads. Kinda hidden by the cape, but still noticeable, was her total lack of arms.

"Only doing this because I was invited." she said with a hoarse voice, stepping in.

Entering the arena opposite of the woman, was a second woman. She looked to be in her mid-twenties, stood 175cm tall, having icy-blue eyes, very pale skin, dark brown hair at neck length, and a build that bordered on being unhealthily thin. She wore black boots, dark grey trousers, a red shirt, and deep purple robes over this.

"Here again?" she said to herself as she looked around the arena, speaking with a vaguely Scandinavian accent. "... So be it."

She looked to her opponent, turning her palms towards her. "Fellow mage, I'll try to do minimal harm; a courtesy I would quickly revoke, if it's not shown in kind."

Soon after this was said, the surroundings changed to become a partially ruined Medieval monastery, build on top of a mountain. Sky the was cloudy, with the day being in the twilight hours. The two mages stood in the courtyard of the monastery.

Combatants Dala T?ileach and Erica of Solitude, fight!

Dala nodded, answering: "I will try to minimize harm as well, but it might get a little hot regardless.
I apologize for any inconvenience."

With that, she slowly stepped closer. The ground under her feet began to glow like ember, sparks flying upwards, but not falling down again, instead seemingly being drawn towards Dala, and vanishing on the skin of her legs.
She closed her eyes for a second, then opened them again. Instead of their usual green color, they now seemed like they were burning behind the pupils, changing the colour of the iris to orange.

Then - she spew out a rainbow of different coloured fire, into the air.

As the start of the battle was announced, Erica had an ethereal copper cube form in her right hand, that floated in front of her palm, surrounded by a glow of the same colour. In her left, she had a shimmering, colourless aura surrounding the hand. She kept her gaze on Dala as Dala drew embers from the ground, wondering what it was for.

When Dala spew the rainbow fire, Erica began running towards one of the pillars in the courtyard. While doing so, she outstretched her right arm, and clenched the hand a little, casting the spell, causing the glow to intensify, and the cube to quickly spin. Doing this, she pulled a few rough tiles from an alcove, each object surrounded by the same copper glow that surrounded her hand.

Then, Erica quickly pointed the hand to Dala, she thrust the hand outwards, shooting out the roof tiles towards Dala's torso. The weren't launched with a great amount of force, and would only wind and bruise Dala, should they hit.

As she saw the roof tiles flying towards her, Dala did at first just continue spewing rainbow fire.

As they came close however, she danced around the tiles, not getting hit by a single one. She was clearly moving much faster than an ordinary human being.

Then she took a deep breath and spew fire again, this time towards the pillar Erica was standing next to. She did keep it only for a few seconds, but it manifested itself like a jet of flame, orange, red and blue from its own heat. Looking really closely, Erica might notice the shape of a dragon's head and long neck formed by the fire.

The pillar began to melt and Erica would know how it felt, standing next to a flame of 2000?C.

During the breath, the ground under Dala's feet seemed to burn, all fire and embers still being absorbed by her skin.
She stepped to the side after, leaving an ashen spot.

In the time afforded to her by forcing Dala to doge, Erica had moved behind the pillar, and was using it as cover. When Dala breathed the jet of flame onto the pillar, Erica grimaced at the extreme heat, although she could manage, with the short duration of the jet.

After taking a quick glance at the outer wall and spotting an entrance to the inner monastery nearby, Erica switched the spell she had idle in her right hand with a flick of the wrist, changing it from the cube, to a fireball. Clenching the hand, Erica readied the spell, then peaked around the corner of the pillar, pointing the right hand out from behind it, also.

Casting the spell, Erica launched the fireball towards Dala. The fireball would hit the ground nearby, and explode with a radius of roughly 4 and a half metres. Dala wasn't at risk of being caught in the blast, however, as Erica had meant it to distract her, and possible making Dala's ears ring with the noise of the blast.

During the flight of the fireball, Dala guessed where it would land, not moving much as she realized it would not hit her. Her eyes went back and forth between Erica and the fireball. The loudness of the blast surprised her slightly, but did not impair her hearing, aside from causing a minor, temporary tinnitus, as she was used to similar spells.

That done, she breathed another flame, this time pure scarlet red, which cut off the path Erica was trying to run to. It was huge, a trail the size of a back alley, and kept burning for a bit after Dala had stopped spewing it. It burned at around 1500 degrees C.

After tossing the fireball, Erica began running towards the entrance, charging the spell she had idle in her left hand until now, but not casting it, yet.

When Dala breathed the fire jet, however, Erica let out a small yelp, and skidded to a halt. Now exposed, Erica cast the spell she had readied, extending the left hand in the direction Dala stood, with the palm facing towards her, and the fingers extended. In front of the hand, was an oval-shaped transparent shield; visible due the shimmering, and blue and yellow edge. This ward spanned the length of Erica's height, covering her.

With her right hand, she switched spells again, now having a the hand covered by whispy-cold air, and swirling ice crystals. Casting this spell, Erica shot out a jet of freezing air at the fire trail left behind by Dala's attack, extinguishing it where Erica aimed the spell. With a path cleared, she ran on, keeping the ward facing Dala, until she entered the monastery.

Dala hesitated for a moment, considering if she should follow Erica or not.

Finally, she shrugged, and walked towards the monastery. While walking, her body seemingly started to burn, although neither clothes, nor skin, nor hair showed any signs of blackening. She however left scorched footprints in the ground, and every leaf randomly caught near her burned to ash in an instant.

She entered the monastery after Erica, looking around, trying to figure out what Erica was planning to do.

Once inside the monastery - having gone left once she entered - Erica lowered her ward, and slowed down to a quick jog. Moving through a hallway, Erica looked around her surroundings, slowing down further once she moved around a corner. This place may do.

Switching spell held in her right hand once more, the hand was now covered in arcs of violet electricity that buzzed very softly. Charging and casting the spell, Erica thrust her hand out to the wall around the corner, making a magic runed circle in various shades of light purple appear on it.

Erica then switch spells in both her hands, switching her right to another storm spell, and having a dark purple aura appear over her left. Casting this spell, Erica could see living things through obstacles, allowing her to track Dala's movements through the stone walls. Doing so, Erica waited, and checked if Dala was coming after her.

As she saw that the monastery had several hallways, and a lot of corners, Dala stopped near the entrance. She had expected that Erica had planned to collapse parts of the building on her. As it did not happen, the thought of a trap did not leave her mind.

Not taking any chances, Dala took a deep breath, then sent red fire down a hallway, hoping to get a reaction.
Getting none, she kept doing this with the other hallways.

Hearing the roar of the flames being blasted through a hallway, Erica moved backwards further, to stay clear of the heat. Being around a corner, she judged she wasn't otherwise at risk, and continued waiting, watching if Dala would head her way.

Not hearing a reaction, Dala sat herself on the ground, closed her eyes, and concentrated on an image of Erica.

She then aspirated another trail of fire. This time, however, it was green.

Then she got up, opened her eyes, and looked at where the trail went. In a timespan of about ten seconds, the green fire moved down the hallway, around the corner, and homed in on Erica, hitting her unless she had protection.

Seeing Dala sit down, Erica frowned, growing cautious. What are you planning?

Not sure what to expect, Erica stopped her life seeker spell, and switched it out for the ward once more. Then, she waited, paying attention to noises. When she heard the fire trail shot out, Erica quickly cast the ward, expecting Dala to be on the approach while producing the flames. She was surprised to then see the green fire to blast curve around the corner, although fortunately for her, it was blocked by her ward.

Groaning at the heat, Erica lowered the ward once the fire dissipated. Needing to change her strategy, Erica moved to the corner, and pressed her back against it. She took a breath, then peaked around corner, casting the storm spell.

Doing this, Erica shot out a stream of violet lightning down the hallway, travelling from the hand to the point the stream struck something near-instantaneously. The stream was unaimed, however, and so unlikely to hit Dala right away. If she did get hit, Dala would suffer an electric shock for the duration she was exposed to the lightning.

The lightning had a low power output, making short exposure painful, but not causing mortal harm. It would sap a portion of Dala mana pool; if she had such a thing.
