Would the different chapters need different starting areas? If so, it's likely you'll be wearing red again.

I found it awesome as an RTS, kept me glued from start to finish. I better just not know about the mmo.

I don't realy think the 40k universe would lend itself to MMOs, unless it was about the smaller scale warfare, such as Necromunda, fights like in Dark Heresy, where the Inquisition pursue relentless, small numbers of dangerous foes. That could be possible.

despite my outburst of hailing the emperor, I'm actually a Commorragh kinda guy. Though I highly, highly doubt the Dark Eldar will be added to the MMO when it comes out.

Shame that Games Workshop is basically just selling all it's products on the virtual market to stimulate it's tabletop market. Shame... now everybody who plays WH40K or WHFB (tabletop) will be associated with no life mmo players :(.

Yes because modeling space marines is such a stimulating activity for ones social life. Please do get serious.

And why istn't it? You DO play with real people you actually meet you know. Also, why do people find miniature wargaming a nerd hobby?

Make imperial guard NPC squads controlled by a player.
EDIT: And space marine could be something achieved after reaching the Imp level cap...
I agree, more than one 'Imperium' faction is a little unfair to the rest of us, given that they could hardly be fairly in contention.

Just like i go from Gaunts to Stealer to Broodlord...

Oh, the awesome...

Exactly. I've met plenty of interesting people through the hobby of varying ages, backgrounds and such.

If you are given the chance to either say join a chapter as a marine after a certain point as a guardsman or go into kasrkin stuff or maybe go into armour/artillery kinda stuff that would be cool... that way every imperial starts as guard and are thus weak as hell till they can prove they're worth a better position :D

All the Imperium knows that the Children of Sanguinius stand first among the Emperor's chosen!

The Sons of Russ and the Lion are inferior to us!
HAHAHAHA Didn't sagunius DIE? If I remember correctly unlike the lion and the wolf
Hey, wasnt The Lion killed by hes closet friend and second in command? Id call that a burn.
And the Wolf is doing one of two things, eithers hes dead after being sacrifcied to Khorne or else hes running around the Eye, naked with nothing but a combat knife. If its the first, pwned *****, if its the second, hes one of the most badass motherfuckers ever.

Which, given the fate of the 13th Company, which is still running around the Warp, doesn't suprise me. Speaking of which, where does it actually say what happened to Russ?

Cant remember, my friend was telling me about it. All I remember is that his armour was found outside a Khornate temple on planet in the Eye.

No he was wounded and then sucked into the warp.

To be brutally honest. i would play a Warhammer 40k MMO if it was eyeball meltingly bad.

Just aslong as i can play as my beloved Necrons. Played soulstorm, saw the Flayed Ones, and went OH MY GOD! I WANT ONE! If they ever bring it out and you play as a commander of the race, ie Chaos Lord, Necron Lord, Tau Commander, it would be awesome. Necron Lord, with a big staff being followed around by flayed ones and Destroyers....Ahhh gives me a semi just thinking of it *embarassed*

Well when you put it that way it sounds weirder than it really is. But im way ahead of you. Kicked the WoW habit after 2 years of playing it.
When Warhammer Online was annouced i thought it was Warhammer 40k. Than they broke my heart and said no the other boring version of it.
Hope a good company makes it. Not EA...Or Ubisoft.
