You don't have to make stuff up now.

It's plain common knowledge that it's one of the most beloved zelda games of all time.
Eh, I dunno. Zelda fanbase is really weird about what games they like/don't like. I thought Ocarina held that title anyway?
Ocarina of Time is also one of the most beloved Zelda games of all time.

As is Majora's Mask. And Windwaker. And Four Swords. And Minish Cap. And Phantom Hourglass. And Spirit Tracks.

Plot is boring. Combat is shit. Save system is awful. The way they do the dialogue drives me insane. The characters are either annoying or completely uninteresting. Its often highly unclear about where you've got to go or what you've got to do (I don't need handholding, they just don't know how to direct a player properly).

And the intro is far too fucking long.

I really hated every second I played it.
Out of curiosity, have you played any other games in the series?
Briefly a Gameboy Colour game when I was like 6, but other then that, no.

So, extended introduction, the combat system, the save system, dialogue, and characters.

You hate the things that are exactly the same as any other zelda game?

Twilight Princess is one of only three Zelda games (without game+ modes like the original and Oracle of Time/Seasons) I've ever felt the compulsion to play again after I've beaten it. (The other two being A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening). Yes, that includes Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

Twilight Princess was a great game. Not perfect, mind, but still great.

Edit: Personally, I have a theory that the first Zelda game people play, is usually their favorite.
That not true for me, I've played every single Zelda game beginning to end, starting with the original when I was a kid. Wind Waker is by far my favorite.

He is not making anything up, since I noticed it too.

OT: I personally loved it (like most) and I find the complaints about the graphics ludicrous, it was beautifull.

So... what? He asked why people didn't like it. That's why I didn't like it.

I think you're confusing somethin. Wind Waker was the game many people didn't like (even though i really did). I don't think many people could say that TP is a bad game.

What? You're acting like it's gotten the black sheep treatment? No, I love it. It's still my second favorite game ever because it has such great temples and bosses (best in the series, in my opinion).

Sure, it was easy, but a lot of games are easy! Sure it was for the wii, but it was a sword game! The wii is made for those! Sure, it had bad graphics, but it was still a beautiful game! Graphics mean nothing. And it had a kick ass soundtrack. And it had Midna. You know, the best zelda character EVER.

All I'm asking is, why do you think it's bad?

EDIT: Before there's confusion, I've been across the internet and found a lot of hate for it.
ok im confused how was it easy? i mean yeah compared to majara's mask it was a cake walk but i found it just as hard or more so then OoT.

Look at the metacritic score for Twilight Princess.
Out of all the user reviews, 202 were positive, and 15 were negative.

If there are people saying it's bad, it's in the extreme minority.

This thread would be understandable if the game was, say DragonAge 2, or Duke Nukem Forever. Those are games with an actual negative reputation.

Twilight Princess, on the other hand, is downright acclaimed. Sure, it's not universal, but nothing is.

it's good, it's just that a portion of zelda fans are the most entitled whiny little bitches and don't react well to change. Never mind zelda games have been almost universally good since the late 80s.

Cant say I have encountered much hate for this game most people seem to either be ignorant of it Like it or have no opinion on it.
I personally thought it was great probably my favourite zelda (except 4 swords with 4 players that was great....and rare) I really enjoyed the wolf sections even more than the Links parts TBH and Midna was awesome.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as engaging as Zelda titles before it (in my opinion).

The Twilight realm was a little bit monotonous, partly due to times where I had to re-do jumps because wolf-Link couldn't move around locations as easily as human-Link.

The world and dungeons felt like a mixture of those seen in Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker; whilst this isn't bad in itself, this led to occasions where I felt I was replaying an updated version of one of the previous games. Consequently, the dungeons weren't as challenging, which reduced the sense of adventure.

Not bad at all. Too long, in my opinion - though that may just be because I'm one of those people who must find every last hidden bit and bob.
Or maybe just because you're one of those people who have to do a zillion other gamey things every week. ;)

To be honest, I think the consensus is 'great, but not the best game ever'. And when a freaking Zelda game is not the new best game ever, the internet will burn it in the ground. That's just how it works.
