Games, peripherals, consoles, etc, what do you regard as the biggest wastes of your hard earned (assuming you work) cash in relation to gaming?

The Playstation Move, I bought it and played Heavy Rain and Dead Space on it and haven't used it in months. My Kinect was a much better investment because Child of Eden is cool and the Kinect was cheaper than the Move.

Kinect was 150$, Move was 100$.

OT:I wasted 150$ on the Kinect and haven't touched it since I played Dance Central. Though, I did really enjoy that game.

I thought the wii fit w/ balance board was a waste of money. You really don't get that much of a work out, you only end up playing the "fun" games, and I get a better work out from the real gym I go to. Also there are no games that really use the fit that i would get.

I got my Kinect pre-owned without a box. It was £50, compared to the PS Move that I bought brand new for £60

Just about everything related to gaming that I've bought has been worth the money. I've been entertained by everything I own.

However, there are exceptions to that.

Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. Just a dull and terrifyingly terrible game in general.

Dead Rising 2

Because every single part of that game pissed me off, from having to install that crap pile GFWL to the retarded survivor AI.

And then Steam had it on sale a week later.

Mass Effect 2, was just blown away how much they took away from the game and turned it into a 3rd person shooter with slight rpg elements. Such a disappointment, Mass effect 1 was such a great game.

Halflife 2...... just... i still cant talk about.. just wow.

Final Fantasy 13. Dear lord, what a train wreck. I couldn't make it past 15 hours in or so before reselling it and using that money to buy Fallout 3 GotY.

I bought the Bioshock 2 $99 bundle pack expecting it to be just as good as the first with recommendations from my friend who worked at the Gamecrazy I bought it from. Total waste of money.

Orange Box, played through Portal, was alright, played through the whole of Vannila Half Life 2 because a friend told me it would cause bouts of spontaneous pleasure, biggest waste of $25 ever.

One word comes to mind: Brink. The most over-hyped and under-delivering game I've ever played. I was quite disappoint that I pre-ordered it.

A copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl from Gamestop. I went there one day to buy used since I didn't feel like spending much. Store Clerk says it was $44. USED. Which is crazy for a used copy that was made three years ago. Being the dumb customer I was, I bought it anyway. Come home, play a few matches, and game craps out on me for like 17 minutes (Which I can't finish all-star mode in that time). Going back to the store a few days later, I ask for a working copy. clerk tells me they only got 2 used copies, with the other one in my hands. I go home with the other copy, and it was even worse than before. Now the game will stop working after the cation screen.

And the lesson for today is to go back and get a refund for stuff that don't work otherwise suffer with an expensive coaster.
